Muting idiot's voices

Is there any way I can mute other player's voices? Been doing some races and just added a couple of morons to my block list for the 1st time ever after they decided to be sore losers and insult after I won by not being idiotic enough to drive over a very obvious cliff. Frankly, a lot of the people that aren't insulting are just plain annoying with their background noise, their pointless babbling, etc....

 

So can I mute other players? preferably specific players, but if I have to mute everyone that's still preferable to hearing all the crap I've BEEN hearing....

I believe you go to the online tab in the pause menu and find the tab that says players, it will give you a list of all of the people on your server and when you click on a persons name one of the options is to toggle mute

I just hold select and toggle to only chat with friends and crew members. Done!

Is there a way to just play alone ? Because finishing the tutorial and being killed 5 seconds later by some douchebag isn't quite a pleasant experience for the first time playing the online mode.

Now i understand that those high levels f**ers want to do that and show how stupid they really are, but after i come out of the hospital to be killed over and over again it's just absurd. I hope players will learn to do some team work in this game and not helping the cops when you have 4 stars because this is just ridiculous.

Pretty sure that only covers free roam. I have it set to friends and crew members, but once I go into a race I can hear everyone...

Yes, Solo mode. Half the time I end up in an empty server anyway.

Lucky you... after the tutorial i was in a server with 10-15 other players... Nobody cared about doing jobs... It was just one big dead match and if they see you don't have a gun, it is almost like you are the most wanted person in the game... Not a very nice way to start a game i guess. I also hope we can play with friends on an empty server so we don't have annoying 7 year old kids who skip school so they can kill instead of helping.

Just so you know, If you shout at the clerk through the mic it makes him get the money faster. it says it as your pulling off the heists, but i guess most people cant read. maybe their eyes are lazy.
