I'm pretty sure they've removed anything that is a big reference to gang activity. I mean, people have complained about gang violence being in tons of video games including the original San Andreas, which did have facial bandanas. If you look at the single player portion of GTA:V, you'll notice that the gangs of Los Santos play a small part in the storyline, and that Franklin really doesn't wear green that often. It's just weird that they would have the whole crew feature on the online portion of the game, and not have any real way to reflect your gang's colour. Other than by sporting a car of your gang's colour.

you cant buy ski masks in the SP. Its part of the stealth outfit for each character once you complete the game.

 

Why Rockstar thought that bandanna's and ski masks not being in the game was a good idea is beyond me.

Funny thing is, there's a bunch of guys with at least one of them having a bandana on his face when loading GTAO, as the promo picture for RGSC crews... hell, even Franklin wears one this way on the loading screen! Guess it'll be a addon later.

My Franklin is loyal to the Families and always wears some kind of green. That is when I'm controlling him, when I check in on him he's wearing something stupid that doesn't even match.

 

Anyways, I hope they add ski-masks and bandanas to GTA Online.

They have them in the storyline... franklin wears one in my game... he has it from the mission when you first see chop and is a clothing option in my wardrobe. I just don't understand why they aren't online D:

GTA V really isnt driven to gangland gameplay, the field of view in game makes it damn hard to see the warfare is going on against the AI.

This is really bothering me too. I want a face bandana A.S.A.P although I suppose they're saving it for dlc but to be honest I can't wait any longer and the novelty masks just don't appeal to me.

Off topic: Also desire a hood up option for hoodies.

That was the single most frustrating thing to me in single player. The whole system of dressing up your character was made utterly useless. I probably changed my characters' clothes back to what I wanted like two or three times, then gave up on the clothing and considered it a broken and lost part of the game.

Hopefully they release a "San Andreas" DLC and give us some of the clothes available in GTA:San Andreas, would love the face and headband type bandanas available.
