Kicking...

Idk. When i had to make a second character i once got kicked less than a second after i joined a new session while still trying to get past that one annoying race.

the first time i got kicked...... i was just minding my own business while having some off-road fun in the countryside.

i can see people being able to get kicked if they are causing problems but allowing any one player to kick anyone else is a disastrous choice in game multiplayer design.

Usually the best option is majority vote. Best if its a silent vote system that keeps votes from people if they leave.

I,E if you join a game and enough votes happen in a single session to be greater than half the number of active players at any given time you should be kicked then and only then.

Finally its ideal to keep voting silent. There are those who will try and vote everyone off just to cause spam in that fashion. keeping it slient prevents them from spamming at least for the instant annoyance. tho if they leave its still better in the long run to maintain any votes cast.

I think of this as the Strike Method. if enough players vote on a single player during a single session that player should be removed. the reason i prefer this kind of mehoid is that sometimes the people who deserve it will only pester one person at a time to keep the majority from voting them off. if they do it to enough players who leave to get away from it then they should get kicked themselves and noted for bad rep. The Persistent votes is the key.

tho you have to make sure if a person leaves a session after voting but rejoins it that the first vote they cast still counts and they cant cast another. this would prevent a group of people from using a re-invite Method to kick any one player by simply having a friend re-invite them to the same session to cast several votes.

Ok i really over though that and did my typical thing. But if R* wants to take notes or implement some of those ideas that would be great news.

Couldnt agree more! GTA 4's worked but you needed everyone to vote to kick, definately need it where if over like 60% vote to kick you get kicked, i have no idea what was going through the guys head who designed the kicking system.. just proved developers really dont play online enough to know simple things like this.
