When sneaking, do you still appear on other players' maps?

From what i have played so far, it makes no difference in free roam, they can see you whether or not you are sneaking. Some deathmatches ive played, there have been times where it works, but then other times where it doesn't. It's still all very buggy, so I'm not 100% how effective sneaking is...

na unfortunately they didn't bring the "hidden on radar if crouched/sneaking or not moving" idea that made RDR so damn great instead we have the usual appear on peoples radar no matter what you do as all the gta's have had.

I'm pretty sure it depends on your stealth skill. Must be there for a reason right?

You'd think so but I don't think it works that way right now.

Think it's more for NPCs

I would love it if they added so that you don't appear on radar, and your name doesn't appear above your head when you're just walking, not jogging or running. Then you could pretend to be an NPC, sneak up on people.

RDR deathmatches were leaps and bounds above GTA5 Onlines! It is a mode I love to play but not in this game (although the game as a whole I really do enjoy). I can't understand why R* took such a step back when producing this game (deathmatch orientated).

In free roam and LTS you are on the radar all the time. In free roam to help locate friends, crew members and other players (to avoid or not) and in LTS I presume so no one can drop you from cover and feel you wasted a game.

In standard deathmatch however, you do drop off the radar, and in one of the first games you play, the pop up hint tells you about noise and showing up on radar.

I had a great match in the hedge match, all sneaking and peeping round corners, shotgun in hand. Thrilling, tense, action!!! :-)
