Bounty Problem GTA:O

I got bounty out of nowhere, someone wrote on the forum that the game gives you bounty :S but don't know if he is right. But I didn't do anything to deserve the bounty and there wasn't anyone in the server to put bounty to my head (Level wise impossible for them)

 

So game did it probably :S How long will it take to go? Some noobs try to kill me (Some of them come with wrecked cars at me etc.) and it gets annoying after somepoint.

 

some people say it is 1 ingame day which is 24 mins. but I'm pretty sure I'm over it and I still have bounty on my head. Here is the post of the person who said game might do it after you get 10 level or so :

Also when I try to check the bounty feature, there is no player names visible. Like I saw only one at max. There were 15 people in the server and it showed noone or only 1 person on bounty list for me to choose

i got 9k bounty twice on my head while in the solo session so it must be something to do with the game itself. I also have not killed others out of DM even when they iced me for no reason so i don't see why but bounty on my head , only bad sport i got was when i quit once on the team job and i was 2v1 with 2 higher level's against me

Everytime i enter a freeroam i get a message saying a $9000 bounty is on my head, even if there are no level 10 people in it, yet no one seems to come after me or anything, it must be a bug. Also when i go to put a bounty on someone it says no one is available, even if im in a full server, wtf?

I got a bounty while hi-jacking a car, was this Pegassus Lamborghini style car - however, he wrote me a message, saying I will end up in the morgue. Shortly after that there were 9,000 on my head. Maybe you ran someone over or robbed a car etc

Random npcs will text you and put a bounty on you for stealing their car. When you join a server and it says you have a bounty on your head, it's not a bug, it's notifying you that you still have that bounty on your head from a previous session.

They have to be level 10 for you to place a bounty.

I got a 9k bounty playing solo as well all i did was rob stores, pick up crates that were dropped and i did 1 gang attack but from what im reading the crates and gangs shouldnt of been open to me since i was only level 2, and they arent open anymore for me.

Pretty sure if u steal a random (A.I)persons car or kill one someone a random bounty can be placed on your head. It will eventually go away

Only real people should be able to do that, they need to fix it. And it has been hours my bounty is there

I got the 9K bounty also. I just stayed in Solo mode for a while then I was rewarded with the 9K for staying alive in a room with no one else. LOL

Its out of control..

 

Ive had at least 12 bounties on my head tonight, all in the span of like 2 hours.

 

You steal a car, boom! bounty. And its not just every once in a while. EVERY single car i stole tonight resulted in a bounty.

 

To test it, i stole one car near grove street, a hoopty junker car- and i ended up with a bounty.

 

Then after i was murdered by some jerk for the money, i respawned and headed to rockford hills.

 

I stole an SUV, so i could sell it to LS customs for easy cash. I even killed the bastard i stole it from! I sold it and when i came out, boom another bounty.

 

So why is it, with a game named GRAND THEFT AUTO, that you cant even commit GRAND THEFT AUTO- without getting a bounty?

 

If it was once in every 20 cars you stole i would understand, but at one point it was EVERY car i stole resulted in a bounty! If i didnt have a bounty on my head, and i stole a car, i had a bounty for 9gs.

 

I submitted a request with rockstar and mentioned that it was happening. Hopefully i hear back and ill let you know what gets said...

 

Bounties should exist. Dont get me wrong, but they should be used for revenge. Some jerk kills you, and you put a bounty on their head and the entire session hunts him down. THAT'S what i call fun.

 

BTW, how the hell does this jerk i stole the car from know my cell phone number?! And does every person in los santos know who to call to set up a bounty? WTF?

 

Come on, logic!

 

Its hard enough dealing with the cops when driving a stolen car, but to have to deal with a herd of money hungry murderers chasing after you for 9 grand?! Come on!

game does it. I just jacked a humme for simeons import/export task the npc who owned it whacked 7k bounty on my head. Shame know ones gonna collected it lol i'm in a closed session so a nice free 7k to me when bounty runs out

Phew! Just managed to live through the whole Bounty-period, and i got monies for it

I keep getting bounty's on my head for some reason.

I litteraly just lived through one, and 30 seconds later a new one was put on my head (I dont think any of the bounty's have been from other players, as I hadn't killed any players in any of the sessions where I got the bounty's put on me)

It did turn out pretty good the last time though. (Some guy killed me when I had a 3000 bounty, and I spawned right around the corner from where he was and ended up killing him, and it turned out he had a 7000 bounty on him lol)

I love the bounties, it adds a lot more excitement to free roam, me and a friend were cruising along and I had a 9k bounty, suddenly the entire server descended on us, so much shooting and killing, us killing them, themselves killing eachother to get a chance at killing me, and of course all the cops.. lol

I actually like it, I've won the bounty money for myself twice and one time this guy came after me, chased me for like 10 minutes, I killed him and after a few minutes he's chasing me again and got me.

 

It's fun.

I get lots of bounties for f*cking with NPCs. It's free money if you can survive for 48 minutes. Not that easy without an apartment though in an aggressive server.

Bounties are awesome.

 

I always jack cars trying to get a high price on my head. People will not give up if they see a hvt on the map. I don't even use my apartment to wait it out, I'll outrun or snipe pursuers. And chasing bounties down? Even more fun.

 

The only problem? I wish there was an option to take a bounty alive, or take them down non-lethal for the full amount of the bounty. Man, that would make things great.

The funny thing is that I had a dead A.I. put a bounty on my head. I rammed into their car by accident and they died from the collision. I then realized the car was worth 7k so I took it and when I did I got a death threat text message and a 9k bounty... FROM THE DEAD GUY!!! LOL!

NPC's will give you bounties fairly often for jacking their cars (surprisingly even if you kill them).

regardless , the NPC killed or not . the bounty were intact until player wait under 60 mins , make sure u activate passive mode before stole a car . passive mode can't be activated while bounty tagged on user's head .

here best way to survive bounty :

1.air : using a plane or helicopter are useful to avoid bounties . beware lv 42 , they able to spawn buzzards on helipad ( which they has lock on missiles ) & lv 70 ( they can buy a rhino tank )

2.apartement/garage : staying own properties renders the player 100% guarantee safe from any physical harms , as player inside interior and both owner and guest unable to use weapon wheel or initate fist fight or even steal your car ( unless access vehicle to everybody ) . there is most cheapest garage 25k price , but pretty boring as laptop are only entertainment are in there . cheapest low-end apartement is 85k price near beach & a helipad which useful to steal frogger

3.submersible : try to dive the deepest , but not 500 meter ( u will wasted ) . however , this tip could be countered with rocket launcher / heat seeking missile

4.Rhino tank : my choice armor . greatly boost protection from bullets & gain more survival chance from explosion . make sure not fire the cannon close that created by main cannon itself , try not make tracks get shot / burn & watch out for snipers , they able to shoot through the hatch from afar despite its completely covered

alternative tips : if u hate being bothered , then why not solo mode ?

If you played a previous game and someone put a bounty on your head and you leave it will carry over with you

 

I tested this multiple times
