Getting same missions over and over again?

I am wondering about the missions you get from Simeon and Gerald (and others I assume). Are you supposed to get the same missions you have already completed sometimes? It seems to be quite random what missions they send you, often missions you have already done before.

Yeah, there's no progression in missions, you get the same stuff over and over.
