when I first done the fruit assassination mission it maxed out at 51.5% for me, and then went down to nothing, so I loaded up a save before I done the assassination mission and now afterwards it doesn't go any higher than 25% AT ALL.

Why is this and what the fck COCKstar, another bug COCKstar? As I can't even get on GTA online COCKstar.

What the fck.

Maybe you missed the peak (are past it)-- If you wait too long to sell Betta shares it drops by 50% (from it's peak too).

Either reload again or accept it and move on.

Making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Blaming Rockstar because the stock market doesn't go as high as you want it... It's a stock market it's supposed to be risky.

Makes no sense, these missions ARE SUPPOSED TO BE MANIPULATING THE STOCK MARKEY, NOT RISKY AT ALL.

When it is very difficult to get 150mill, this isn't making a mountain out of a molehill, I love rockstars games, don't be a corporate apologist though when something is broken, it makes you look like a shill.

This happened to me with the Bilkinton stock. Try reloading again. It seems random on how much the stocks go up.

I've tried a good few times, and it peaks at 25% only. I will try some more tomorrow, but this seems like another crappy bug. Like GTA online, an absolute buggy mess.

I did it last night and got a 51% return, so it's obviously not a bug.

FYI, I'm at 300 mil per character and haven't done the last two assassination missions yet (or any of the other random things you can make money from), so buying the golf course isn't hard if you play your cards right.

Maybe they patched the assassination missions to give less profit, because people could make billions out of them (myself included)? Hopefully not.

I did the assassination missions after the patch and I got the same returns everyone else has been getting before the patch.

OP Try going to a characters bed then select save but cancel out of the save. That will still advance time, see if that moves the stock up anymore.

Then you can see I also got 51% return, this 25% max only is after I have reloaded a save before I done the assassination mission SON.

happened to me to so i went ahead and tested a few things

i think whats happening is the peak of 25 is actually as its coming down so it stays at 25 for a little bit on the way down then drops to 0.

i see the stock at 12 then 14 then 16 then 21, and if i save at around 12 when i wake up it stays at 25 which leads me to believe its progressing so fast during sleep that it shot up to 50 when i was sleeping then back down to 25 as i was still sleeping

people think the 25 is as its going up, but its really the 25 on its way down to 0 because it already surpassed its peak

so basically if you see it at around 12-16 peak, dont sleep, just keep waiting a few seconds/minutes and refreshing it until it hits 50

(edit, it still didnt seem to peek over 25 so this theory is wrong and its either random or its patched)

Just to add to this, I accidentally waited too long (died) during the fruit peak after vice assassination, I realised this so reloaded the save and had the same problem.

Went back to the end of the cigarette missions - and that got stuck too and wouldn't get to the 81% I had got 10 minutes before.

Soo. Reloaded the end mission (on my second play through) and fortunately this seems to have fixed it. Worried a bit though as I had purposely played through a second time because I messed up the assassination missions first time round, and thought all that effort was wasted!

I haven't got to fruit yet but debonaire worked

I read that if you miss the peak the first time and try to reload a save, it won't peak as high as it did the first time. So it normally peaks around 50%, but if you have to reload it will only get up to 25%. Also, keep an eye on the day, if its a weekend the stock market is closed, sleep until it is monday. I had to do that to get the Vapid stock to 100% return percentage.

Some people have reported that some of the stocks do not recover, etc. I actually lost out on another one. Waiting like 3 in game weeks and nothing happened.

I had the same problem and I found a solution that worked for me:

1. BEFORE the mission, log on to PSN/LIVE so you can purchase stock in Fruit.

2. Now LOG OFF of PSN/LIVE.

3. Start and finish the mission.

4. DO NOT LOG ON when waiting for the stock price to go back up for Fruit. While logged off, wait for the the stock price to hit 50%, whether you sleep in once or wait in realtime (it should hit 50% this time).

5. When you hit the 50% mark, go ahead and sell.

6. Now, log on to PSN/LIVE and you'll notice when trying to buy stock in Facade that everything has stabilized, which is not what you want.

7. Now SAVE your game if you haven't already. RELOAD and you should notice that stock in Facade should be down as it was intended to be after completing the mission.

8. Purchase stock in Facade.

8. Sleep in a couple of days and wait for the rebound to peak at about 30%.

9. Sell when it peaks and you're golden.

Not sure if this will work for you guys, but give it a shot.

Just tested this. Didn't work for me. I think the problem with this theory is that the BAWSAQ is linked to the Rockstar Social Club and if you're not signed into PSN the BAWSAQ will be unavailable. In other words- BAWSAQ share prices won't move while logged out.

I too was hitting the 25% ceiling. I turned off the system for awhile (3 hours to watch the Packers beat the Bears!) and attempted the mission again.

I logged out of the PSN and completed the mission. (Before the mission I invested approx. 360 mil w/each character while logged into PSN)

Completed the mission.

Checked BAWSAQ and it was unavailable. So, I logged back in.

After I logged in I immediately checked the FRT share price and it was up 30%.

I waited and sold at 50%. Happy 469mil. Mike had 500mil.

Maybe this will help.

So...I only read OP's first post, but let me guess, this is a "WAAAAAAAAAH, I want $800,000,000 per character, not $350,000,000 per character at the end of story mode" thread
