GTA Online Cops and GTA V Cops in General

I have to admit. It's rough. I had a 3 star, 20 min epic getaway. I went through 3 cars, crossed most of the map and had some of my greatest GTA cop moments ever. But, do I want to that every time? No. They are godlike. So, my suggestions:

 

-Buy a mask, period.

-Drop a point of interest at the sewer entrance and canal entrance. These stay permanently.

-Go to a store, make a waypoint to either sewers or canals, whatever is closest.

-Go into store with mask on.

-Raise hell and get the full amount. I don't recommend shooting clerk, unless you want a bigger headache.

-Run to car (with 2 stars if no clerk death), take off mask

-Enjoy a 1 star getaway that will probably not even need sewers or canals for.

Helicopters on 3 stars are not that hard to lose. Just drive on a major road FAST and avoid traffic till the helicopter loses you and then hide in a roadless field, backyard, store, auto shop, etc. Simple. But a pain in the ass every time.

I am pretty certain Rockstar will fix this when they have a patch for the game or another update. This should certainly be one of their main things to pay attention to, other than fixing the online servers of course.

After using the mask trick a few times I don't have any issues with the cops anymore, I drove right pass a cop with 3 starts and they didn't spot me cause of it, very nice trick to avaid the damn cops.

These are good instructions. It's differently a whole new ballpark with cop chases. They may be more relentless with the car chases but they aren't psychic anymore either.

I hate the cops in this game, not because they are hard because they spawn everywhere way to damn quickly. I just robbed a store and you have a chopper on me in 9 seconds? Please. You can be flying down a road, then ramp off an overpass and go down into the canals and suddenly there are swat team roadblocks down there. Yeah, they have the manpower to roadblock every part of the city and can do so in 30 seconds and knew I was going to go there.

 

They way the just spawn where they need to be so rapidly is just lame.

Yeah, the cops are just straight up brutal in this game. And I thought they were annoying in IV! I managed to get away from the cops easily enough though. Protip about the hiding spot. When you get to a bush to hide from the cops, don't park your car near it. The cops can actually find you hiding in a bush if your car is parked close to it.

It's much easier to lose a 3 star wanted level online. Th chopper doesn't persist for as long, and the cops don't always see you right away.

some say use stealth mode when hiding in a bush, i havent tried this much as its easy to out maneuver them if you have a fast car and take lots of corners, and its certainly more exciting than sitting in a bush for 5 minutes waiting for stars to disappear.

Its not that hard, just look at the map where the police are, and dont drive there.

 

Yes they will still lookin for you if you hide somewhere, but they will not find you directly, only if they

decide to look just there.

 

Changing clothes, hair and stuff will even reduce the wanted level i think?

The one thing that really irks me is that literally as SOON as you leave the store, they've got you surrounded. I mean, you know, come on. That's ridiculous. Like...you should rob the store, then the cops should come after and then maybe chase you if they can find you. Walking out to a f*cking army checkpoint is a little ridic...

Seems as though almost every time I hide somewhere that seems like a good spot and the heli can't see me, 3 or 4 cop cars come straight to where I am hiding. Even if it is down an ally and around a few corners.

 

These cops must be pretty good with their hunches...

Me and two of my friends evaded four stars in a slow ass SUV...if you drive up towards the mountains and go to the windmills the helicopters start crashing into them lol

Stop your crying fool, its f*cking easy to escape, maybe you should stay off the main roads and start playing with abit of braincell instead of like a moron? It's not hard to out drive the plane and lose it, and it's not hard to find somewhere to hide under like in a parking garage or something...f*cking crybaby whining because you suck, im actually finding 3 stars too easy, so easy to lose police when your speeding through back alleys and such.

I never have an issue robbing a store, i keep my gun on him until im out the door, the book it to my car. And do u think cops in real life wont check an ally u gotta hide, jus like in real life, even if its behind a dumpster or somethin, and ALWAYS use a mask, if u dont he will remember u and u will get 4 stars before he even opens the register. and cops arent to hard at all, u jus gotta be out of line of sight.

I don't mind the cops when doing crimes against the citizens of the city that's the fun part getting away, but dam! Every time I get into a gunfight these annoying police screws up my game. Rockstar need to turn the police off if no crimes are being committed against the city.

How could they screw up a great game the number one thing is the primitive 1970”s blips. I know we can highlight the player, but that time I’m wasting doing that I'm getting shot and on top that blips that I don’t highlight blips blink.

I can't friend or have everyone in my crew nor do I want to. All friend blips and crew blips are the same color. What if I was in a gun fight with friend against friend I can’t tell who to shoot, the friend with me or against me and by the time I check to make sure I don't kill the wrong player I get killed.

My third gripe is why the hell do I have to pay the car insurance if the player that destroyed my car doesn’t have the money. If they don't have the money they still should pay by giving them a negative balance so when they do earn some money that can't buy things because it has to be first payed to the insurance company. I have had that happen to me several times, they pay part or none of insurance. Once they are out of money you pay.

I'll beat a one or two star on foot. Once beat a three star on foot. Only time it gets crazy for me is four stars and up.

i imagine they could do all sorts of cool sht online such as a decent amount of traffic if their fukng stupid ass cops weren't hogging up all the system resources. free roam fighting, the only redeeming factor of this game, is ruined by the cop spam. fuk u r*

My only gripe with the cops is that they often spawn too close to you, helicopters especially.

 

There had been times when I was on the run and the cops failed to spot me yet but then BAM out of nowhere a helicopter spawns nearby, not only that but it spotted me the second it spawned, it always spawns facing towards me and it spawns in with me already in the blue cone so I am literally given no time to react or change directions in order to avoid being spotted.

 

This works with a lot of enemies in general, including enemies in multiple co-op missions. I cannot count the number of times I died because of enemies spawning a couple feet behind me and shooting me in the back the second they spawn in, giving me no time to react or to even turn around for that matter.

 

That and the helicopters also respawn way too quickly, when I shoot one down another respawns to replace it like 5 seconds later. Sometimes its less or sometimes they respawn instantly, leaving a WTF look on my face.

 

In previous GTA games I would shoot those helicopters down to buy me some time without air support on my case but now its pointless. When you have more than one chasing you its even worse, because its impossible to shoot them all down before the replacement helicopters start coming in, so you would have air support on you constantly and nothing you can do to make them go away besides running.

 

Looks like the whole respawn thing in general needs some twinking,

 

There should be like a no spawn zone around players, and enemies are forbidden from spawning in that zone.
