Why is R* talking GTA VI already? makes me mad

Jesus all he said was that they "had a few ideas" they didn't full on release a trailer and date and sh*t, it's kind of reassurance that there is a GTA 6

V/O is gonna keep me occupied for years to come. Im extremely happy with them. Just need GTAO bugs ironed out n im all set!!

 

I will gladly wait 5+ years for the next GTA on PS4 since im cheap & wouldnt wanna fork out the cash for a next gen console at release.

Honestly, I would rather see a new GTA every 2-3 years than every 5 years. In case anyone forgot, GTA III was released in 2001, GTA VC in 2002 and GTA SA in 2004. There wasn't that long of a wait between them. Now all of a sudden it's "Oh my gosh! Rockstar is rushing it if they don't wait another five years!"

 

GTA V does not, in my opinion, feel like a game that took 5 years to make. If I didn't know they worked on it for five years I'd say it felt rushed. If it takes another 5 years for a new GTA then that GTA had better match all of San Andreas's gameplay features with something equivalent ('cause it might not involve gangs and gang wars would be out of place in that kinda game) and those features had better be polished.

 

You know, as much as I love V, I kind of agree. It seems more like GTA IV: Los Santos than GTA V to me. And that's not really meant as a criticism, it's just that the technological leap doesn't seem as great.

 

 

Maybe because it's still on the 360 and PS3.

Vice City wasn't that much of a technological gap from III... same can be said for SA as well. IV was a major gap because it was on the 360 and PS3. Next gen will be a bigger gap I bet.

They started planning GTA IV right after San Andreas was released, they started planning GTA V right after IV was released, so i would assume they are planning VI now.

This so much. I have a feeling more than half that time went to the graphics and details and very little to actual story and missions.

 

Anyways I actually like that there are already thinking about it. A game can come out every years if they want as long as its a good game and not just copy and paste.

 

I would love in two or three years to get a VC one. I really dont care as long as 1, they get back to having a story line isntead of being set in one thing (Heists) and 2, only have one character with a good storyline. I didnt mind having Trevor and Micheal but Franklin was a waste of space. He had no storyline and contribute to almost nothing.

What? It's normal for a company to be thinking about its future games, I don't see what's wrong with mentioning GTA VI. I mean, they don't just stop when they release a game. Rockstar is huge, they can think about GTA and the next Red Dead at the same time.

It would mean that GTA VI is coming sooner rather than later, which is a good thing. And they're going to be constantly building on the online element of V that you already own.

How is this good? Do you want GTA to become like CoD and FIFA that is the same crap again and again year after year... they basically release DLC's that's all.. do you want GTA VI to be a DLC of GTA V? I prefer to wait 5 years and have an epic game like GTA V (not talking about online) instead of having the same game with a bit of improvements in 2 years...

 

IF they are starting to develop sometime soon (you haven't actually proven this!), why does that mean it will be out in 2 years? It just means they're starting now, cracking on with making a new engine for the next gen consoles. If they start now, there's no reason why it wouldn't be 5 years, and come out in 2018. GTA would never turn into CoD/FIFA - its always going to be an ambitious project that takes a few years to develop and perfect.

 

And to be honest I don't think GTA V took 5 years to develop. You're naive if you think GTA V was being produced from 2008. They might have just sketched out a few concepts or something. R* have had other projects in between. I think they maybe started in 2010, and I don't think they would've been too far along the production cycle in November 2011 when it was announced.

LOL some people are so freaking naive i swear! Thats not only that R* won't release next GTA game in 5 years time, but you all will have to wait for about 8 years for it! Just wait and see! Seriously, they could talk their asses right now, but everything they say i don't trust it anymore! They bullsh*t like ALL the time, both R* and reviewers and they all know sh*t!...Just mark my words next GTA game is not going to come out on PS4 and Xbox One, maybe when PS5 and new Xbox will get released, but not until then...The best you could hope for is a good and high-quality GTAV port (including those on PC!...) And maybe, just MAYBE some kind of GTA spin-off on all of the next-gen consoles (i mean almost current gen!...) similar to "stories" released for PS2 and PSP in the past...

Are you high? You're saying we won't see a GTA sequel next gen? What is it that you think Rockstar North (the division who solely make GTA games) are going to be doing for the next 8-10 years? Just kicking back while they're paying all their staff for having to do nothing? Or do you think they'll get in their Deloreans, go into the future and see what hardware the next next gen is running so they can start working on it now? Before you go on about your spin offs again, Rockstar Leeds are the ones who make those.

WELL, Next gen consoles are just around the corner so I'm betting that they wouldn't want to miss out on the opportunity to capitalize it. Just saying.
