Why is R* talking GTA VI already? makes me mad

Ok I'm gonna make this short and simple. I was taken over by the GTA V hype train like everyone else. The game is outstanding don't get me wrong but in the same sense I feel like it wasn't worth the 5 year wait.

The online is half fun half confusing mess nothing is simple like RDR multiplayer. I'm not dissing the game because I can't find the urge to play anything else right now.

What really made me mad is how quickly The Benz is already talking about GTA VI making me think R* isn't happy with GTA V. We all know they usually take a vaca blah then start the next one. He said they're taking no vacations and focusing on GTA: O and GTA VI. This makes me angry the usually don't mention the next GTA until atleast the game been out for atleast 2 years.

Now my question to you guys do you think it's appropiate to be talking about GTA VI especially after waiting a full year with no info come on now.

You're off your rocker, because he never said anything about GTA VI. In fact, he has no idea what the game will be at this point, simply because they want to focus on V and Online.

Chill.

Source?

If they are talking about VI, it makes me happy because some parts of V were hit or miss with me. I hope they bring back the focus to to single player and just keep online as it is, but with dlc so that online gamers can be happy.

GTA V will definitely go down as one of my favorite games ever, but I can't help but think about how much better it would have been if it was delayed a few more years for the next gen consoles..... which gets me really excited about the next GTA game because it WILL be on next gen. GTA is the only game I've ever enjoyed playing that R* makes.

Do I thinks is inappropriate to be talking about GTA VI??? Yes, especially since they can't even get GTA V to work. Is it too early? No.... but definitely inappropriate

If that is the case, why's that such a bad thing? You whinge bag.

It would mean that GTA VI is coming sooner rather than later, which is a good thing. And they're going to be constantly building on the online element of V that you already own.

I'm actually really happy because it seems we wont have to wait 5 years again

How is this good? Do you want GTA to become like CoD and FIFA that is the same crap again and again year after year... they basically release DLC's that's all.. do you want GTA VI to be a DLC of GTA V? I prefer to wait 5 years and have an epic game like GTA V (not talking about online) instead of having the same game with a bit of improvements in 2 years...

I'd rather wait 5 years, yeah.

I seriously hope they do not turn this into another COD or EA franchise. I would prefer 3-5 years between games, because I don't want to buy the same thing every year or so.

They have always done this, I think they usually start talking about the next instalment before the current one has even been released.

LOL some people are so freaking naive i swear! Thats not only that R* won't release next GTA game in 5 years time, but you all will have to wait for about 8 years for it! Just wait and see! Seriously, they could talk their asses right now, but everything they say i don't trust it anymore! They bullsh*t like ALL the time, both R* and reviewers and they all know sh*t!...Just mark my words next GTA game is not going to come out on PS4 and Xbox One, maybe when PS5 and new Xbox will get released, but not until then...The best you could hope for is a good and high-quality GTAV port (including those on PC!...) And maybe, just MAYBE some kind of GTA spin-off on all of the next-gen consoles (i mean almost current gen!...) similar to "stories" released for PS2 and PSP in the past...

Honestly, I would rather see a new GTA every 2-3 years than every 5 years. In case anyone forgot, GTA III was released in 2001, GTA VC in 2002 and GTA SA in 2004. There wasn't that long of a wait between them. Now all of a sudden it's "Oh my gosh! Rockstar is rushing it if they don't wait another five years!"

GTA V does not, in my opinion, feel like a game that took 5 years to make. If I didn't know they worked on it for five years I'd say it felt rushed. If it takes another 5 years for a new GTA then that GTA had better match all of San Andreas's gameplay features with something equivalent ('cause it might not involve gangs and gang wars would be out of place in that kinda game) and those features had better be polished.

1.That interview was done in August.

2.They were asked about it. It's a better answer than saying "nothing planned".

3.They have ideas...but development for it won't start anytime soon.

Someone should smack you for saying that. These games need to be developed slowly and carefully. Rush-jobs are never, ever a good thing.

If they go full development and copy&paste gta V with new graphic, map and add a lot of more features, new storyline. They can finish it faster, like 2 years.

When? No one knows, Gta V is out since 2 weeks ago. Expect the next gen gta game after 3/4 years.

Quoted for truth! I'm sorry about what i said in this thread, because i was just being realistic! Doesn't mean i want to think that next GTA game is not going to come out in a 8 years time! LOL On a contrary i would be glad if it'd come out as soon as possible, because i don't trust R* anymore with their promises to take more time to make bigger and better game...it doesn't seem to apply anymore...

LOL at all of the people who say "It was a GREAT game but.............."

If the game was great, then you got your money's worth. Always expecting perfection means you will NEVER be satisfied.

I never heard any interview where someone from R* mentioned VI, last I read they were now focusing on Online.

IF they did mention VI, its probably because its an exciting time at R* because they can put a GTA on a much better console now. I don't think they're unhappy with V, and they shouldn't be because its one of their best.

You know, as much as I love V, I kind of agree. It seems more like GTA IV: Los Santos than GTA V to me. And that's not really meant as a criticism, it's just that the technological leap doesn't seem as great.

That part is wrong, they said between finishing V (dlc's etc) and GTA:O.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if they are already gathering ideas for the next game.

Perhaps Vice City will be next. They'll make it as close to Miami as they can, but may expand on it a little more than just a city like LC. Maybe instead of one huge island, they'll have multiple smaller islands like Key West?

Who knows. It's a little too early to speculate.
