Dying takes money from bank account

I was playing late last night and when I would die while just roaming around LS I would have no money on my person but money was being taken from my bank account. I thought that money in the bank was safe and could not be touched? Any ideas?

Imagine carrying a debit card around with you. You can purchase some items including bullets and hospital bills via your bank account, not just cash. Money lost was most likely due to hospital stuff:) hope that helps

You always had to pay medical bills. The difference is that if you had no money on you, none of it went to your killer.

How much money do you pay when you die? Is there anyway to keep it safe (stocks or whatever)?

Sarcasm mode activated: I never would've thought I could lose money when I need to go to the hospital!! This concept is so unusual to me!

 

 

 

Yes, even though you don't respawn at hospitals when you die online, you still get that fee. I'm not sure if it is the same 5% as single player, but it is still annoying.

I've died once in a Solo Session, not expecting the Families gangs to shoot at me. Yet, they did and caught me off guard. Bastards I'm on their side.

 

Anyways, I didn't go to a hospital after being wasted and none of my hard earned money went away.

 

All in all, I'm loving playing Solo. Once my character's skills are up, I'll be heading online with the rest of the jerk offs to go ahead and troll them.

Its not half as bad as the fact the charge applies to deathmatches.
