GTA 5 Online Slow Car Bug

All cars drive f*cking slow , i can't escape cops anymore even if i'm driving a sports car , they all drive like 30 kph, only happens in online tho. Is this only happening to me ??

I also experience this bug.

My friends are able to drive at top speed, however I feel like I'm not leaving 4th gear... the cars even sound like that's the case.

 

Even when we're driving the same model of car, I can't keep up with my friends.

 

I'm trying to figure out if it's to do with being a low level and having less than 2 full points in Driving skill...

try exiting back to SP then back to Online
did this last time and seems to fixed it
although I dont know what causes it

Yeah, I was getting this bug too, I thought it was my R2 button breaking or something haha.

This happened to me once. I was doing a supercar race in the entity XF and I just got stuck in 2nd gear at peak revs and couldn't go faster than like 30mph. Its never happened to me in free roam though. Maybe a glitch with the catch up thing?

There's a glitch that requires some people to shift in certain vehicles by double tapping and holding the accelerator once it has reached the top speed in that gear. If restarting your game doesn't work then this is the only known solution. Some people like it because they say once you get the hang of shifting your vehicle will actually go faster, but I haven't tested this.
