It's getting ridiculous

I normally don't gripe about online stuff, and slow starts, but this is too much.

 

When the game first came out, I thought it was really smart to launch Online 2 weeks later. It gave them a bit more time to work on it, and gave players time to get through the single player game. However, when the launch happened, the companion iFruit app was HORRIBLE. It wasn't even that complex of an app. It wasn't like it had that much interaction. You could customize starter cars, and get Chop not to take a sh*t in your game, thats it. And it didn't work.

 

Now with the Online "launch", I'm kind of losing faith. How hard is it to fix the problem that isn't letting people into the game? There is already new stuff while I'm loading, like tips and things. Why is this being fixed before the tutorial race problem? That should be the primary fix.

 

The worst part of this all, it's been over 48 hours and it still isn't working. The game earned $800 million in the first 24 hours, and $1 billion in the first three days. Not to mention the original budget of $265 million, which is more than every Hollywood movie except for Pirates of the Caribbean. All this money, and you can't spring for some more stable servers to help with the over flow? Or hire a few more technicians to help fix the problem?

 

And when people say "Stop complaining, its free." No.. it isn't. I paid for this game which included Single AND Multiplayer, half of it is broken.

 

They're not going to do anything to make people happy either. No one is going to get a free garage when its all fixed as a "Sorry", or more starting cash, nothing. There are people who can play the game and already have beach side properties. It's going to be real fair when I get into a game with them and they kill me with a mini-gun after chasing me down in their Cheetah, all while I'm running away shooting back at them with my starter pistol.

 

And yes, I've been part of some pretty bad launches. This is easily the worst one yet. Easily.

 

Sorry for my rant, it just makes me mad that I still can't play.

I thought it all been sorted out as I got past the first race stuff now I've just tried to start a new game it's still locking up

Yeah, this really is ridiculous. Good point with the iFruit app... that thing was simple and iOS-only, and yet it failed to work, and sometimes still does.

I also thought that the two week wait between story mode and Online was a good idea, but it turned out just the opposite. Pretty much everyone was more or less done with single player by 1st, and the servers didn't work at all, so they had like a... I dunno, my bet is on a couple of thousands of people trying to connect per minute - failing every time. I'm actually surprised I still give a f**k about GTAO, after all this trouble. I really wanted to play it... two days ago. Now I just want it to work - a working feature that was PROMISED to work october 1st. Sure, they warned us about some "problems", but these are not "problems" with playing, it's more like "not working for s**t".
