There have been a great lot of threads titled something like "IT'S WORKING NOW", "Is it working?" or "Servers are down". I was thinking we'd use this thread to update the people on whether it's possible to play online or not. Post here when you can't get online, and more importantly, when you can. Include further details if you so wish. Remember to specify your system.

I haven't had any cloud server warnings or could not host session issues, but because my char was deleted, I refuse to go beyond the creation screen until R* state it's safe to do so.

 

If you ever see a thread that says "ITS WORKING", don't believe it. It's either bullsh*t, or it's just working for one or two people.

The servers are so unreliable it's varying for people, some people will be able to get online and some won't.. it's strange but that's how it's working..

 

PS3 is down for me...

Yep, still not working at all for me, having the same god damn issue of having to "wait for players" at the first f*cking race. I seriously haven't gotten past that first race at all, not once, and i have been trying to play since the 6 AM release on October 1st. Rockstar, what the f*ck?

ive gotten past the first race atleast 5 or 6 times and leveled up to 6 and taken a break only too have my character corrupted every time. the past few tries ive been stuck at the launching session for the first race. youd think the mass amount of people trying to get on at the same time would have died down by now and given the servers a break.....i guess that isnt so.

Just played 9 holes of golf with a friend. but I suspect that the deathmatches and stuff still have slow connecting problems. Stick to small games with friends and "jobs" with friends and your experience should go well.

I still fail to get past the first race. First I got the bug where the marker isn't there (never got that before), and after restarting online mode I get the neverending loading bug (solo session).

Today i played for 14 hours with no issues what so ever, i could connect to my friends, everything saved and missions were functional.

 

HAD SO MUCH FUN.

On yesterday for 2-3 hours around 12:00 UK time (ps3) then nothing, characters gone (guessing cloud issues) but just double car pickup first mission sh*t bug.

Tried for around 3 hours today.

Anyone need a pasty? this one is too big.

I like the taste of online, need to lick it again.

Some guy posted a thread saying he called tech support and they said that they are transfering data between new servers which is why characters aren't showing up yet

I just logged in no problem, no crew members on so I got dumped in a lobby. No English speakers so I quit then tried to go to solo mode & my character has left for another universe. Hopefully she has only popped out for a bit. :/

finally got in today,did a street race & won then afterwards i couldnt get back to the game,session timed out,couldnt even get back to story mode,had to reset my ps3,joined again,was fine done another race 7 same thing happened,after that couldnt get back online at all,looks like it will be good when things are sorted but not wasting any more time on it while its in this state

I can't see my crews or anything - I just get social club error now.

 

So status (SE UK, PS3) not currently good.
