Just an idea - GTA IV Free Mode in GTA V?

While GTA: Online is all fun and so on, should there be GTA IV-style Free Mode (+ the current Online "MMORPG" kind of stuff)?

I mean, Online basically turns into a grind fest in the later levels (haven't gotten past level 7, but that's most likely the case anyway, if the other open-world multiplayer games which have levels can be showed as evidence).

 

You'd have no Money or anything but you could steal whatever car (no Premium limits) and mod it. For free? Maybe. I don't know.

I hope I'm not the only one feeling that this would be a fun mode. And we are forgetting... games are supposed to be fun. Free Mode could add a lot to that fun.

 

By having Free Mode, you'd be free from doing Jobs, doing Missions and from doing any kinds of "annoying" things. You could just have fun, have e.g. personal races in the airport with Police disabled, base jump with friends etc.

 

I guess this could remove some portion of the players in the level-up Online, but if you'd want to feel a sense of achievement of course you could play it. If you got enough friends, you could do missions without having to wait for anyone, too.

 

So, does anyone support the idea? Note that this isn't anything like "Rockstar, do this tomorrow, if you don't, then I never ever buy GTA again.". It could come whenever it'd be ready(ish), in Christmas for example.

It's certainly not a bad idea, but I don't feel like R* would go for it. They're really dead set on this new Online thing. That said, some of the most fun I've ever had in a video game was in GTA IV's free roam.
