How to evade/roll

Anyone know how to do this? I've seen other players roll to dodge my bullets but I can't figure out how to do it for the life of me..

While aiming I hit the x(xbox) or square(ps3) to roll.

Anyway, if you're on Xbox, it's LT + X. It took me a while to figure out how to combat roll too.

Also, if you try out free-aim lobbies (by going into Single Player - settings - targetting), you can run and gun (well, strafe, really) by holding the right trigger halfway and pushing all the way to shoot. Keep that fine balance and you can strafe left and right with each enemy coming in. Not sure what it is for PC, sorry.

It's not about how you do a roll, but how many times you do a roll in combat. Your roll to shoot ratio must be about seven to one. Meaning you have to roll seven times for every single bullet you fire.

 

If you don't do that, you're not a really gamer.
