My GTA5 Online Review (your input is needed)

After 2 days of not being able to even get online, I finally started playing online:

I am not as enthusiastic as a lot of people are with GTA5 online and here is why. For example, I don't like the size of the map and I believe it can hurt your online experience because people are soooo spread out. If I want to go an kill another online player, It takes a crap load of time just to get to the person. However, in GTA4 when you were going to go into free mode, you selected the area of the map to play in such as the all popular airport so basically, that is where the game was played. To me, that makes free mode fun because you spawn into the game close to the other players.

In GTA5 another annoying thing is the missions and although this is an opinion of mine, I don't personally want to do missions and if I wanted to do missions I would play story mode. Some of you like missions in multiplayer and if that is the case, this is a perfect game for you.

In GTA4, there were weapons all over the map when in multiplayer, so if you wanted to blow someone up with an RPG you could just look on your map and find the weapon to do the job but, in GTA5 I need money to buy weapons, I need to do missions to get money and also to unlock weapons.

The multiplayer experience is way too (micro-managed) by rockstar because they geared everything around missions instead of just doing whatever we wanted. If missions is your thing, GTA5 online is for you but I think rockstar should have had a true free mode option for those of us who enjoy that. Anyway, feedback is welcomed from you guys. Unless I am missing something, this is how I rate the online experience, I give it 2 out of 5 stars. I am very disappointed but again that is only my opinion.

I understand where you coming from where you just want to have maybe in near future they will update where you can choose that kind of free roam, but for me the online is awesome i like doing missions with friends making money. I love the whole level up to unlock different things in the world, also love whole money concept and it can only get bigger and better,

Thanks for the response. Much better than a few reponses I received on the social site. Some of which were, f*ck off moron, you're an idiot and so forth.

From the little I've played I agree with you. Seems like it lost that spark of just going and rpging ur friends. However I'd probably give it a 3 out of 5.

Uh, well what are you supposed to do? In free roam, I did kill other people and I had fun doing it.

Go play IV online if you like that so much.

Personally i think GTAO is fantastic. Yes there are bugs n such which need ironing out but overall im extremely pleased with the experience. Im not going to give a rating on it yet as there is still much to come & experience.

Well, please kill everyone you see. You will get bad rp points that will result that you will have it harder to join servers and you will play with all the other trolls

All I am saying is have another online game mode for people who could care less about objective game play, thats all.

If you want a game for killing, then in my eyes there are other games on the market that you should be playing to do it.

To me it is everything I ever wanted in a video game. I'm roleplaying as a career criminal, robbed liquor stores, did missions, sold stolen cars. I'm completely satisfied with my experience. I can't wait for more. I give a personal 10/10. Would bang. It is a f*cking masterpiece and to me, it is better than GTA V.

And like I said that is a great answer, it is a great game there is no doubt but for people who are just wanting to go around with their friends and eliminate other players it doesnt offer that. In GTA4 there was an option for Ranked where if you were serious you played that but also the free mode was a nice option to where it wouldn't affect your rank but you could still blow off a little steam and have fun.

I can agree with 2 out of 5 stars. That's about right. I give GTA V SP 7.4. It's almost like R* had Bethesda help them or something. lol

In my opinion, it's WAY too soon to review the online. A game of this size and scope deserves the proper amount of time to be experienced, ESPECIALLY when everything is not running as smoothly as it was intended. Even if you are one of the lucky few who have been able to play without major issues, there aren't enough people who ARE. Having enough people be able to join and play is a large part of the experience.

Heres my input... Why the f*ck are you reviewing it already? R* are still working to fix the problem with the servers, and you're judging the f*cking game already... jesus.

I think you might be mad because you're black. There, that's my input.

Grand Theft Auto Online is something extremely special; so much hard work, thought, and dedication has been poured into this online game by an experienced team of dedicated developers who have learned how to properly manipulate current-gen hardware to create massively ambitious game titles such as Grand Theft Auto IV, Red Dead Redemption, and so on. Personally, I appreciate all Rockstar Studios for all the effort their employees make to ensure we, the gamers, have an enjoyable game. Grand Theft Auto Online is incredibly ambitious, especially for it only being available on console platforms. Considering the amount of bold directions Rockstar have taken with GTA Online, I expected there to be many bugs, glitches, crashes, and so forth - especially in the first few weeks of launch when the game's online servers are being flooded by tons of players. Technical difficulties should be expected with a game like this, and as of now, GTA Online is going through the Teething Process, and will definitly recover very soon as Rockstar continues to address ongoing technical complications via Title Updates. However, once you actually get into an online game session, it's so much fun, especially with friends - you start to forget the little technical problems and all. As of now, remain patient, and sit tight - Rockstar will improve the overall stability of the online servers to enhance everyone's experience.

This, I agree with. The map's just too big.

Most likely lol :D

Anyway, I agree there should be a true free mode just like GTA 4. There would be jets and helis everywhere, damn just thinking about it would be so fun :)

Go play deathmatch then. There are weapons scattered around and you are confined to one area of the map of your choosing. There are ways to get RPGs, grenade launchers, LMGs etc without ranking up or purchasing them. You obviously haven't played the game very much. I really don't think you get what free roam is about in this game.

Lol if only half the players I have come across thought the same, I even had one instance where I completed a mission with a couple of others, then when we respawned in free mode, he shot the sh*t out me.. I thought like wtf, i saved ur ass when u were pinned down with no hope, and this is how u thank me?? Lol needless to say, I thanked him in the same manner a few mins later..
