I have this 7000 dollar bounty on me from yesterday. I had to have played over an hour with it on my head. Why wont it go away? Where can I find info about my player rating and bounties?

All I know is what the tooltip says. Bounties stay on players no matter where they go. I have no idea if they wear off eventually.

That's cool! I like watching TV and cinema in GTA so I'll just do that if I get any bounties! Lol.

I've had it for over a day in game it seems. I got it originally from an anoynmous number for stealing a parked sanchez in the desert. I got it right around the time I got a text from merryweather saying they'd protect me with a service I could pay for.

i thought you can take the bounty for yourself if you survive, you have to take it from somewhere.... i don't know though

This happened to me as well. I just finished playing a 8 hour session. 7 hours ago I got the bounty. I've died multiple times, restarted my PS3 (Had an internet issue) and the bounty is still there. I think it's just a bug, I reported it to Rockstar along with a few other issues I ran into.

Why don't you get one of your friends who you trust to kill you to claim the bounty and then get him to give you half of the money so you both come away with a bit of dough!

I like this idea. I have a thousand dollar bounty on my head. In solo session.

Says I can't kill myself out of this one. BTW, killing yourself is $500 dollars. Nothing is free in this game.

lol ive had a couple. once u get to level 10 if u steal a car sometimes the game puts a bounty on you. so i just try and take my car where i go now. i survived a $9000 bounty and kept the money!

Like someone said, just hide out for a day. I think every time u are killed it costs the dude 7k also.

Either way I love this. It gives u a purpose to chilling in the apartment, laying low, taking a shower or watching TV.

Yeah. I love the realism in this aspect. Enticed you to use your personal vehicle. Online makes me feel like my car is MINE much more than SP did.

And if someone did deserve the bounty and they chill out for a game-day, then you get rid of them for a fair while so it's a win-win! :)
