Character deleted thing fixed?

Well on (PS3) I made it to level 9 last night played til 2am had tons of fun...Before I logged off I made sure to switch back to single player then quit the game. Just logged on now and my character was deleted WTF!!!!! Not Cool R*

Cloud servers where f*cked yesterday, nothing from yesterday got saved.

 

I made a new character 4 hours ago, played since then. Im trying to reboot my ps3 to see if my char is saved

Cloud servers were having issues yesterday I know but my character was saved I do know that cause I logged off then back on multiple times yesterday without losing my guy.

Well no wonder it got deleted ive had like 6 characters since tuesday, all deleted.

 

I just rebooted my PS3, my character is still there, saved and healthy.

 

Think I might just say f*ck it, and play this character like everything is well, i really want to see how the appartments and stuff works.

I went to single player, quit the game, then turned off the PS3, save game was still there when i got back

I created mine on Tuesday. I deleted 3 others before it to get my character to look like me. It disappeared on Wednesday. Logged back in later that day, (without creating another character) and he was back. With his stealth at 100 and all the money I earned mugging people to get my stealth to a hundred.

 

Just don't create another character if you're happy with it. I'm working my way to rank 100, in a slow and satisfying pace. Also, I've been strictly using Solo Sessions. Feels like a single player, but so much better.

Certainly hasn't been fixed. Got to level 14 and bam, just got deleted a few minutes ago.

the game itself is simply awesome but this character deletion is complete BS

 

 

I sincerely hope there is a way to bring back lost characters

I find myself...hesitant to try again. Sounds like its working (mostly), but not saving as it should. I think there's a way to subscribe to something (???) that will update you when fixes are made. If someone finds that Subscribe link, let everyone (and by extension, myself = P) know please. = )

Hmm, don't make another character in that slot. I think that overwrites it and you will not get your rank back. Try the slot next to it.

When I create a new character and finish the race. Once I'm in the car on the way to the drug deal, everything starts glitching (roads, buildings and the character disappears). BULLSH*T.

My character is gone now too. I played last night, just booted up GTA V and it's not there. It was saved on the cloud however though, didn't have any problems. Maybe it's just the sh*tty connection to the cloud that makes them disappear.

My character got deleted just a few minutes ago. It was my 5th character. I made it yesterday and it was still there today. I played for like an hour or two and then I stuck on Cypress Flats with never ending loading. I had to restart my PS3 and when I came back online it was gone. It's all cloud server's fault.

Out of all bugs Rockstar really F'd up. First cars disappearing from your garage in SP after you spend a ton of money and time customizing them. Then MP characters randomly disappearing losing all your money, rank, customization, safehouse and stats. On top of that, a bug (tutorial race) not a server issue is preventing a ton of people from playing (even 4 days after MP and 2 weeks after the SP game launched) You would think a lot more testing would of been done for a game this big.

Well, sneak attacking NPC's with one hit counts as a mugging to me. Still not the RDR way of just pointing a gun at them and telling them to give you the loot, but effective nonetheless.

She went missing just a few minutes ago. There one second & gone in a session change.

 

A thread here said that support said it was an issue with servers within the cluster synchronising the save data, so apparently if you just keep trying once they are synched your latest save should return. I doubt that works if you create a new character over the top though.

It's definitely a syncing problem. Sometimes it also says "No Crew Membership" even if you're in a crew. At the moment now I never see the yellow loading circle either, which pretty much confirms that the game is actually communicating with the cloud server.
