How are the servers now? (X360)

Not home at the moment, just wanted to know how the servers have been acting. I've been seeing considerably less threads about how the servers suck and how my character was deleted.

 

Are the servers safe to play on now?

Seem to be fine at the moment. I'm in a game, doing jobs with no problems. Slow though, to get in and out of jobs, but they seem fine.

I'm just a bit hesitant to play. I've been seeing a lot more threads about the actually GAME. seems like the servers are starting to work for most people.

I was able to play last night for the first time. Still seemed a bit glitchy. I'm treating my current character as a temp for the next few weeks.

Also, is the characters progress saving? Played yesterday for about an hour and lost it. No biggie just don't want this to keep happening.

Characters are saving, and online is a getting a lot smoother. I actually didn't run into issues at all recently, which is good!

 

Tip for saving progress: press down on the D-pad and switch to Michael/Franklin/Trevor. It'll open a prompt saying that progress will be saved, press A to continue.

 

I believe that should force a save.

Mine seemed to save, and I was connected to the cloud servers, but I'm not expecting to keep anything that I do for the next couple of weeks. Just too much instability. Still, it was fun to be online with other people.

Everything is good on my end. Missions finally working, able to join crew members or friends with no problems, crew emblem in-game on clothing is working again, and I can see the ranks that I made for my crew in-game and on my character rank screen.

 

I got some money saved up, but i'm still going to wait before I do any big purchases.

Played from 7pm - 5am last night/morning.

 

 

No problems what so ever, and that's coming from someone who

couldn't do anything on gtao since it came out on Tuesday.

 

The game is so good, just awesome.

Finally got through last night, played up to level 6, tried this morning & my characters gone and I'm getting stuck at the first race again. So don't hold your breath until R* say its fixed (even then it's iffy)

Fatal error....I have had to mentally block GTAO while at work so Im not let down when I finally get home.
