Stuck at "Launching session" with other players...?

I'm stuck at the "Launchng session" screen right before beginning the first race, and there are 4 other people standing here with me. Occasionally one of the people will literally walk away from the group, and sometimes a new person randomly joins the group.

 

These are all player made characters. I'm standing here with a black ceasar haircut, in a black suit, and there's a guy standing next to me with a blue hoodie on and another guy here in a white jumpsuit.

It's a glitch, they are trying to fix it. If you ever see that screen, it didn't work. After the guy pulls up in the car and gets out it supposed to load into a car selection screen.

I was finally able to get past that screen last night for the first time. I just let it sit there for a while, about 10 minutes, and the race started. It's actually a good sign if you get to that screen. I kept having the problem of being stuck in a loop with the guy bringing up the car over and over, or stuck on the blurry city screen.

I've been trying for a few days and I never get past that screen. Like others have said it didn't work. I just keep quitting the game and keep trying. I'm hoping by tonight its fixed, but I doubt it.

Read my post and you will see that the problem that I am having is very different from the problems that have plagued the community since launch; the problem I'm having is that I'm standing here with many other players on a screen that's a bit frozen.

No actually, this isn't different it's one of the more common problems. People say you can wait and It'll start but I tried that for well over an hour and no dice. Not sure why some walk away while others just pop in & out. Edited October 3, 2013 by Big_Mitch_Baker

Ah, it seems I must respectfully stand corrected. Still, it's a fascinating error ... perhaps it could be called some type of "mmo-bug" where the bug actually brings together and involves multiple players.

I tried to explain it nicely but I'm a strong believer in tough love. It is a common problem though, a lot of my buddies have that problem and i had it from 7am-4:30pm the first day too, many times.
