zwireqq Posted October 3, 2013 Share Posted October 3, 2013 I was hoping that GTA V will be a better all points bulletin version and it is... but only graphically but the gameplay still was better in APB, no instances, 100 players in one server doing open world missions with instant team finder. GTA V online free roam has no point, robbing shops gets boring, Customizing cars? what for if noone gives a sh*t about your car in this ghost game. I think the gameplay in GTA Online still could be way better than APB (i played just 1-2 hours), but waiting in the lobby for 2-3 mins, and then 1-2 more mins for loading the map just fking sucks. In APB, missions are seamless and instant. While waiting for a mission, you can still free-roam, you`re not put in a lobby, to stare at a list of players. So yea, while you are a bit harsh on GTA Online, i do agree that waiting for other players in the lobby, and huge loading times make GTA Online pretty sucky. KillaDanny Posted October 3, 2013 Share Posted October 3, 2013 I'm dissapointed at gta:o because of the server issues this game has (let's hope it changes soon) but APB is not really good either... you would never find 100 players on one server I've only found 10 players max in APB and it takes days until I find players to do a mission with me... besides the missions are boring, they are not even real mission, they are just game modes like capture the flag or deathmatch but with a bit of plot in the middle... I got bored of it once I reached rank 11... and trust me APB's city is the REAL ghosttown... barely any cars and I've seen like 3-4 peds every 30 minutes (I'm not exagerating, go play the game by yourself or watch videos).. last point is the physics... I'm sorry but the physics in APB are a joke, I actually find them entertaining when I played with my friends we started smashing our cars against each other and we laughed our asses off... but that's about it, without any friends the game was so boring... I will agree that as of right now APBs online experience was better concerning design choices, but the game itself was atrocious. Also we're only into day 3 of GTA online and frankly the number of people that have hit their servers in that short amount of time is exponentially higher than the total amount that has hit the APB servers in it's life so cut them some slack. I have serious doubts... People should stop Bitching about nonsense. I am sure APB was a mess upon release and it took a little time to work out the kinks. R* has a page where they keep updating us on how they're fixing the servers. OF COURSE ITS NOT GONNA STAY LIKE THIS. This isnt how R* planned the servers to work.
