The last few nights my online character has just been stuck on the first race, not starting saying waiting for other players etc. Nothing happens. I read about a possible fix, just went home, tried it, done the first race and mission, and can now go straight into online mode. So here we go. Just load up single player. Go to online mode. Go to start new player. Create your new player. BAM. It "should" start the race, choose your car, and start. My character saved, it showed on the wheel, kept the cash etc. As I say this is for people who cant get past the first race. It worked for me. The last few days i've been stuck at the race, and I know its not stable right now, but at least I can join my buddys in free roam online. If you've heard this, ignore. Cheers guys good luck. I was stuck at the same point, so yes this did work otherwise I would have stayed at the same place. Ive been trying and it worked. So nice funny reply, but I thought id share something that has more chance of working then trying the same old sh*t. For me it worked first time.
