A spoof on the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon's north rim is actually 15 minutes away from Las Vegas in real-life.

 

Browne Canyon however, is closer to Las Venturas. Rockstar Support has given confirmation on Browne Canyon being in San Andreas.

I want to check with you people to see if I'm not imagining stuff...

 

Does someone know if Tyler made the song "Garbage" for GTA V or did the song existed before release? Because the song literally describes Trevor's personality and way of act...but it also mentions stuff that sound very similar to some events of the game.

This is basically T's profession: He sells various drugs and also guns

 

"One time one guy came to where I'm residing
And I didn't invite him, so instead tryin' fight him

One day Johnny goes to Trevor's trailer, he makes him flip the f*ck out and ends killing him

 

 

"A couple junkies went missing
And I know right where they're hiding"

 

This is basically the Altruist side mission that he has

 

Then there's all the killing the song describes that basically sounds like something Trevor would do (Specially biting off the lips out of someone), and also mentions that he likes to play dress up. I assume this refers to when Trevor appears wearing a dress

 

Couldn't this song be a reference to Trevor himself? Or am I imagining stuff up?

We're just going to add on new things to it, new places all the time. We've set this up so there are no limitations. The only limitation is the size of the disc and how much memory we've got. We could, if we wanted, simulate the entire world, different countries, whatever. Whether we do that or not... But we've got a bunch of old stuff that we're toying with using.

So, I decided to play some GTA Online today and got the mission Hack and Dash and in this you gotta go to a garage try to hack into a garage and steal a vehicle? (failed to hack in due to doing it solo) but I also noticed something odd on top of the garage that was in plain view on arrival

 

 

I remember this being brought up once before where someone else found one hidden in a container in the army base in a different Online mission.

 

So what is this thing?

 

EDIT: just incase someone wants to see this for themselves. just as an FYI Hack and Dash is a level 60 required mission

I think it acts as an actual silent alarm script, so the enemies are scripted to then attack

Probably mentioned before, sorry if so, but the books on Franklins bookshelves in his mansion One is titled "Red Dead" by J marston and there's another called "Malcom Eggs" (Easter Eggs) There is also GTA artwork on one lower down "Liberty City Hero" I think it was titled.

In Stab city (and only at Stab city), On rare occasions a Hexer will spawn but they resemble the colours of Johnny's Hexer from TLAD, IDK if this is just a coincidence.

I don't think anybody has mentioned any of this but with the new DLC coming out and venturing into other parts of the characters lives, I think I can foresee some sort of storyline coming to us

 

I've started playing again, starting all over again, and after pulling the tennis coaches house down--not his house, but you know what I mean---that crazy lady calls you and sticks madrazzos men on you. I have a feeling that the crazy lady yelling "green light! Green light!" On the phone is Catalina from the old San Andreas. I think that was her name--the crazy bitch that was running with the gangs back in the day. I can see her making a reappearance later down the line. Just pointing it out. What do you guys think?

I think someone missed the whole different universe's and how they will never being back old characters from the 3d era.

 

Also Catalina first appeared in Gta3. Although i know timeliness wise san Andreas was first. But our first knowledge of her was in 3.

Ok let me ask another question then: why do you think Lamar covers his face when kidnapping that balla in the beginning of the game? It's clear that the two have history with each other, but what does Lamar care if the dude knows it's him or not? Then shortly after, Lamar plans the drug deal with him that goes awry, but they greeted each other and gave daps and everything. I bet that becomes a future story in coming DLC. there's gotta be more gang action involved later on, and Lamar is my personal favorite character in the game so id like to see more of his story and learn more about his background. I wouldn't trade franklin to be able to play as Lamar, but I would have loved to have been able to play as lamar

It was a while back. Before 4 dropped if i remember correctly. There was a statement saying that they wouldn't bring back the 3d era characters as it would change the way they look going into HD. something like that anyway.

Ahh, yes I remember that. We had to bring her somewhere in the limo early in the game. I hated that bitch.

 

I wish they would bring some of those characters back. Well, not even back, but just mention a few like Lester did niko early in the game. They make a few connections between this and 4 with packie and the mentioning of niko. But having more connections branching off of more background stories subtlety hidden behind the text woulda been cool. Like a movie in V kind of like a scar face rip off, but the character looks like tommy vercetti woulda been dope. Make vercetti a pop culture mob star dude like scarface is in America. Or an old homeless guy that's an interactable pedestrian claiming he was a member of love fist back in the day or something. It's a shame that they built such a solid universe over the years with stories sparesly interweaving and they would just throw it all out.

In a way i kinda think that's what they did in the hd era. The 3d era characters are legends, folk lore if you like. But obviously it would have been cooler if, like you say, they had implemented it a bit more.

"CJ" in GTA5 for example.

 

 

Although love fist exist in both as they are celebrities. Same with BJ Smith, lazlow etc. Celebrities and brands survived.

So rockstar saying that the old characters won't make an appearance doesn't mean that they don't exist in the GTA world then. I mean grove street families are around, that would mean that CJ lived in the very same city that Franklin lives in.

Im not sure if this has been discovered or not but I recently watched the GTASeriesVideos youtube video about the easter eggs in GTAV and never noticed it there. Its a small easter egg but if you travel to this point in the shore:

 

You will find this NPC during the day:

 

Everytime you go to this spot it will spawn a random beach NPC striking this pose (The same one as the Blonde covergirl). Anyway I thought this was a cool find, Ignore if old.

I'm near Franklins LS customs, It's night time and a cop is standing on side of road with his bike, he is in a constant cycle of holding his phone out in front of him (towards the road) and every know and then checking it.

 

I'm sure this is supposed to be as if he's using a speed camera/gun, but for whatever reason a speed camera is not in the game he's just got a phone instead.

so i was playing gta just then and i was driving around these mountain areas when suddenly a car fell out of the sky and landed next to me. a girl got out and ran away while the other was left inside, dead. the car was a really old car with guitars in the back and no roof. so i reloaded the game and went back to the same spot and flew up in a helicopter and flew to a cliff directly above where it fell and the car was there with two police cars behind it. i waited and nothing happened??? there was also a police helicopter there as well that flew off as soon as i landed but all of the officers and the 2 cars just don't move and neither does the car with the girls in it. but if you go to the edge of the cliff and look away then you can hear the car accelerate and then drive off the cliff. it happens only at around the time 19:10 but they don't spawn if your looking at the cliff before that time.
