Players are entitled to play however they like aren't they? If someone wants to go round killing others then I don't see what the problem is, it's a game.

 

I know that I get bored of doing missions etc after a while and fancy going round killing a few people.

 

If you don't want to be part of all that then enable passive mode or play a solo or an invite only session with like minded players.

Your right it's just a game, I've leveled both my character's solely on getting all the unlocks, cars and apartments all on invite only by myself. After that it's all about meeting people, causing mayhem to cops and players. I don't care if someone wants to shoot at me, I'll actually like the adrenaline rush knowing combats coming my way. Everyone can do what they want it's freeroam. I just hate when people gang up in a big pack (like 3 or 4) on me when I'm by myself but I see it as a compliment also.

Except I don't give a sh*t if you're peaceful in a public session. You give a sh*t if I kill you. So, you can go ahead and go to invite only since I don't give a sh*t if you're peaceful or not. Your problem is solved by going to invite only. I don't have a problem!

 

When I want to do a crew meet up, we do invite only. And it's awesome.

 

This is such a simple solution.

 

I. E., you're the one complaining, not us. There's no impetus for us to go invite only.

As for unprovoked player killing there are some ( not myself ) who simply see public free mode as one big deathmatch, yes it is bad form, at best, but there are multiple systems in place to stop this

Not really since you can report players for harassment like behavior. Just because you have a gun and the ability to be a dick, doesn't mean you should be one. It's kinda like real life, people learn how to behave properly but it doesn't take a scientist to realize that.

Thats kind of silly seeing how my gta stats are in my signature. You should really stop the try hard keyboard warrior thing on here. Not a single person is impressed by you and you just make more and more people either shake their heads or laugh at you. Once my skills got better, I started winning fights and then it became addicting to see how quickly I could make someone go passive, or even better, making them leave the lobby. Every now and then I will be nice to other people, but more often than not, you get stabbed in the back. If you see me in a lobby, I will be hostile because I do not trust anyone not on my friends list, simple as that.

LOL. Once people start talking numbers like this, as if they ever really mattered. I start to question whether they have anything else more important in their lives beyond gta online. Made my night. Also, your a very manly man and any gta character that crosses your path should be very scared. You just reek of gta online testosterone and dominance.

 

OP: Thats just the way it is man. You have a ton of outlets away from these people. I myself enjoy a good battle once in a while, but i also know if im not in the mood, passive mode is there if i feel like doing something else.

I am the same. I tried to be nice. I would see another player near me unarmed so I would walk away only to get shot in the back by them.

I go invite only and turn on passive. It's only that the game throws you in a public session after finishing a heist. And some times passive mode is gone.

Most of the guys who complain here are the ones who are looking to meet strangers online, you know the guy who sends apartment invites to the entire lobby, or friend requests when you've never done a mission or anything with them, the guy who pulls up next to you and starts honking for you to get in their car.....They need a passive free roam like a ped needs a schoolyard!

I don't really mind so much the people that'll gun you down when you're pretty much out in the open in the middle of the city, but when you're halfway across the map and there's that one person who goes that distance just to cap you, then there's a problem. Same goes for those people that'll target players in passive mode and find any way possible to total their car or kill them.

 

I myself decide whether I'm going into a lobby prepared for some pvp, or to ride it out in passive. Sure people will say just go into an invite only session if you're going be passive the whole time, but those are most likely the same people that make it their mission to harass passive players. I enjoy the atmosphere of a full public lobby while not having to worry about getting attacked. Is that not the point of passive mode?

 

There's a BIG difference between people who want straight out pvp, and those who will go great lengths just to be an asshole.
