Worst multiplayer launch in history?

Test Drive Unlimited 2 had the worst launch for a console game. It also requires mutliplayer to work, so when the servers were down the game would literally not start and got stuck on the first loading screen. it was like that for weeks and it still took several months to get it running smoothly.

I've been through MANY MMO's during my gaming years. I've seen a hell of a lot worse. FF 14 comes to mind as one of the more resent, then theres EQ 2........ WoW....... hell what mmo HASNT had a horrid launch? Actually Rift had a pretty decent launch, not that great of a game but still a better launch than most MMO's i've played.

These games also had terrible launches: SimCity, Diablo III, World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Ultima Online.. just to name a few. All big launches have problems, and millions of people trying to connect all the time isn't helping. I haven't got past the first race yet, sure I am annoyed, even asked for a "day off from kids" from my wife in order to play with a friend but no such luck. Luckily I didn't take a day off from work for nothing!

 

I'm sure that Rockstar will find a fix to this, until then there's a lot of things to do in single player.

Some of us have 'vacation' time, and use it for what we want to use it for. I'll never understood why what someone else does, that has no bearing on your own life whatsoever, makes some people so upset.

I am laughing at you right now, you have a wife and a kid, and you are arguing with a 15 year old like me over the internet? I feel f*cking sorry for you. And only 20 dollars an hour? Your life must be terrible. Lucky me that I live in Norway and have rich parents so I dont need to give a flying f*ck to either work or care. I will spend hundreds of dollars of that micromoney thingy so I can buy all the houses in GTA online, just because I can.

GTA Online isn't an MMO though, it only supports 16 players.

 

I wouldn't say this is the "worst multiplayer launch in history" though.
