So.. How do you play with buddies without getting split up all the tim

So yeah, what is the best way to play in a private game with only friends and crew? We can sometimes create an invite only game and it works fine until we do a mission. Then either we do another mission - all of which are just races which we aren't interested in, and freemode. Choosing freemode splits us up and puts us in different random open free roam games with other people. It makes no effort to keep friends/crew/people from the same game, together.

And on a side note, I guess because the servers are still all kinds of screwed up it doesn't even show me in my own crew that I created, but it shows others in it normally.

I've never been split up by picking freemode, but I don't believe there's any other way to get back to the original server.

I feel like that was a major oversight - to put people in a different server when they're done with a mission.

Go on a job/activity. Invite your friend. After you're done, both of you choose to go back to 'freeplay' or whatever it's called. Both of you will be put in the same 'lobby'. Whenever you join a new mission/mode, you need to re-invite your friend.

Ive been doing missions all day long with 2 friends and we spawn next to each other after each mission. The only time we got split up was when we quit from the lobby.

We are both voting go back to freeplay, boom, both on different servers and have to go through the entire process over and over..
