it's the servers that are not saving your progress, you have to wait until rockstar fixes this

Well I got up to level 10, saved and then turned my ps3 off, come back to it a hour later and BOOM all gone, back to level f*ckING 1!

ive seen the gold save icon but still im quite unsure...

 

I dont know yet, but yesterday server Rockstar down and up, down and up ...
