Escaping the Impound

Hey guys, I've been playing GTAO for about an hour now... really enjoying it! I've been messing around with players in free mode...

 

Anyway, I died while wanted and my motorbike was impounded by the cops. I jumped over the wall to escape with it but all the gates are sealed off. Trying to drive out the small doorway type exit didn't go too well either. I was killed within a few seconds... :/

 

Any tips for getting out alive?

Go to one of the gates and it will open after a few seconds

 

Those precious few seconds get me killed... :/

Get some armour or something

I'm not exactly willing to spend my money at the moment. I'm saving up for a property/garage. We should really be able to escape without body armour... unless I'm being stupid and missing the obvious?

Jump the wall right next to the bike. Drive immediately to the side of the gate where the opening will start. Don't keep driving into the gate as it will stop opening. Drive out as soon as you know you can fit.

 

All in all it takes about 4 seconds from climbing in to out the gate on a motorcycle and isn't that big a deal.

In my experience dont save for that stuff. There have been reports of them disapearing and also everytime you do you lose 2k so its a pain in the ass

I've managed to escape with it... but I got a 4 STAR wanted level and was killed again! All for stealing my bike back! That's a bit too much! :O

 

I'm just worried about it being destroyed... :/

Unless there are more that was is listed on the property site in-game, I believe the cheapest garage/property is 25k... Either way though, its a decent chunk of change for lower levels. (in my noobitty noob experience! :p)

Also, don't drive to the impound in a stolen car. Police will be on you much earlier.

Yeah, I'm respawning right next to it anyway, so that isn't a problem. It's the 4 star wanted level that's killing me! Are FIB teams really necessary for one stolen vehicle? :S
