How to locate Bail Bond missions?

So, I generally don't like to read strategy guides/walkthroughs/forums for completing games, but I'm just about at the end of my rope with this Bail Bonds nonsense. I cannot for the life of me figure out how the hell I'm supposed to find these people.

I got the first mission from Maude, and she mentioned something about the quarry. I'd already been there before while freeroaming, so that was easy enough to find. Upon bringing the guy back alive, she thanks me and tells me she will send me an email with info on the next person. A few minutes later, I get the email. I look at it, and it says he is "hiding out in a barn with some of his buddies," and that he "used to be a meth dealer like you (Trevor)". Aside from that, all I have to go on are a mugshot with tiny illegible text next to it, and an aerial view of some trees.

I tried accessing Trevor's email via a computer, so I could see the pictures on a larger screen and maybe be able to make out what the text next to the mugshot says, but couldn't find any way to get at the email except through the phone.

I tried rereading the text in the body of the email, but there was nothing significant to be found there. Next, I tried reloading to a previous save and listening closely to the conversation when I dropped off the first guy from the quarry, to see if maybe Maude said something I missed that was a clue towards the next location. Nada.

The only thing left I can do is just look at the shape of the roads shown in the aerial picture, and make note of how they intersect so that I can try and find some similar shapes on my map. The problem there is, I don't even have a general region of the map I'm supposed to be searching! I mean, yeah, okay, obviously it's not in the city or Vinewood Hills, cause you can see trees and dirt roads, but that still leaves a huuuuuuge portion of the map (the most wide-open sections, nonetheless) to search with virtually no clues to guide me.

Is there something obvious I am missing that is supposed to lead me towards finding the next bounty? Or do I seriously just have to scour the map in the pause menu looking for similarly-shaped road intersections, and then driving to them to see if anyone is there?

(P.S. - If it isn't already evident from the rest of the post, I would really appreciate if you don't just straight up tell me where to find the next guy. I don't mind if you give me a hint to push me in the right direction, or tell me where the info I'm missing can be found... but please don't spoil the solution for me. I want to experience the mission the way it was meant to be played, and if I wanted someone else to solve the whole thing for me I would just google "where to find bail jumpers in GTA V.")

I can tell you to look a little southwest of LS Customs in that area. I had to use the guide to find those guys though. Without it, it's pretty hard.

I think it's supposed to be a tough scavenger hunt type thing. But there are only so many barns around, mostly in 3 areas of the map.

The 1st guy is in the quarry, look around there, there's a giant truck, he's just behind it

Thanks for actually reading the post before you reply, bro.

So, the general consensus is that it actually is just ridiculously hard to find them without cheating and looking online?

I felt like there should have been some sort of clue I was missing, or information I had overlooked that would narrow my search field. I guess I'll just have to stop and investigate every barn I see, then?

AngelKing, there are clues in the photo, my advice is to grab the map that came with the game, and try to match it up that way. Do not use the ingame map since you might not have uncovered the parts where the roads are. Using the map that came with the game I was able to solve all of them without resorting to any spoilers.

It's easy from a chopper. I seriously wish these were procedural and infinite. You get 5 then the game tells you to f*ck off and play online.

Looking for these guys is the better part of fun. Look at the pictures Maude is sending you and check the roads or important places. The hardest guy is the second one, rest are rather easy to find.

If you want help on him there's a hint:

Look at the road at Great Sonora Desert

I have pretty much all of the in-game map uncovered. The only places that are still blacked out are a couple of small spots on Mt. Chiliad and whatever the other mountain to the southwest is called, and neither one of them has roads running anywhere near the black spot. They are just places where I haven't wandered far enough out into the wilderness to clear off that spot on the map. That's an interesting idea to use the map that came in the game box, though, since I feel like I'll be able to look much more closely at it. Plus, I can view that without having to pause the music on the in-game radio :p

Now THAT is a clever idea. I was having a really hard time connecting Maude's email image with anything solid in my head, since the picture she sends is like a "satellite view" and the in-game map is more like a road atlas/google maps type of display. Maybe if I hover around in a chopper, I can keep my eyes peeled for an area that looks similar to the one shown in the photo. Thanks for the suggestion.

Combinging them both works very well. As you pointed out not only do you not have to pause the game to view the map, but you can compare them side by side at the same time, rather then trying to remember certain landmarks then going into the pause menu and trying to locate the roads that way.

Here's another hint. In the chopper make sure your high enough that buildings are the same size or smaller than the photo - the roads and turns make the photo look more close-up than it is.

The GTA Online patch from yesterday seems to have deleted the email/message from Maude about this guy, so I don't even have a picture to go by this time. Like you, I don't like using guides normally, but it seems I have to this time.

Oh, and another thing: That "Open Missions" icon on the top right of the iFruit phone screen ... is it supposed to be replaced by a "Job List" icon? Or is this just another glitch that was a part of the Online patch from yesterday? Has anyone else experienced this?
