PS3 online (true online) how much so far?

Ok so I played about 2 hours and a half of pseudo-online (or should I say pseudo-multiplayer because I was mostly alone)

and about 15 minutes of true online multiplayer, which mean seeing and interacting with other players in the same game let's be clear, not just selecting your online char.

 

How much have you guys been able to play true online multipler so far on PS3?

Right now I just did the race, its zoomed out and back in now online with crazy guys shouting headsets

Have you tried invite only session and waiting about 2-3 minutes at the car (it eventually start against Lamar)

Finally had a couple of hours of online gaming. Did a few missions, races and deathmatches. I love it.

I'm just going to be super patient and wait for all the hiccups to be solved. It takes long sometimes to find matches but at least we are seeing progress now!

I played 2 hours this day but crashed and character disappeared. it was fun while it lasted. (i agree at the headset screamers, can mic chat be turned off in options?)

I've had a couple of robberies with a mate, did a jet-ski race with him too

 

Had one DM with stranmgers, then a DM with some other mates (got signed out of PSN for some reason during this)

 

Did a 'fecth' mission with another stranger, he actually had a mic and chatted which was cool, randoms are usually silent.

 

Then I took th edog for his walk, came back online and now can only play with a temp char.

A few minutes in a the LTS it makes you do, and a few minutes in online free roams.

 

I tried to rob a guy who was loitering nearby. Pulled my shotgun on him, expecting him to stick his hands up and drop cash. Instead he pistol-whips me, shoots me once and kills me. Entered another one, and a guy came straight at me in his car and perforated my windscreen with an SMG.

 

After that, I decided to stick to Invite Only whilst I build some funds.

I just completed the tutorial intro fully.. went to change so i was with other players, it crashed my PS3. trying again now

 

 

Edit: it didnt save my character!!!!! have to start over

F it, I'm gonna make a new character and try it your way. Some type of game play is better than no game play. Even if it means its probably not going to save.

I've been playing on Invite only session so far, played a few missions, DM and TDM but I still don't trust it enough to go on a public world. Still learning about the Online though but I don't know when I will go public. I can't seem to invite my friends though with a message saying either me or both me and my friends need to complete the tutorial even though he has a rank of +3....

Yes but I must admit, I haven't tried it today yet because of work. Will try later. As far as I followed the forum, most of the problems especially the first race are back and it only worked for about 2 hours earlier today? Anyway i will see later.

Got into a server after lots of spamming and frustration. Did the first race, did a bit of free roaming and in the space of 10 minutes I had a guy in a Buffalo chase me then 2 guys in a Sand King chase & attack me.

 

So many douche bags around already, be aware.

I played for about 30mins just running around getting my rank up but unfortunately walked away from the game and had it sitting for a few and lost everything. So I hear you about the pseudo online. Im not even gonna bother getting use to a character at this point.
