Petition to change Character Creation in GTA Online!

I dont mind the new character creation too much, BUT I find that viewing your grandparents and parents are so far away its hard to see detail of what they look like.
there should be a zoom button for that.

Besides choosing your family tree to change your appearance. changing your lifestyle will change your appearance as well. so if you spend hours doing illegal work, your going to look pretty rough, since you might get less sleep and are not as active with sports.

They could have maybe polished the feature up a bit more, but im not against this creation mode.

Bollocks. It's f*cking sh*t. Your character looks like a burn victim were you can pick wether you want first, second or third degree burns. If you don't want that then you get the Meth head look.

Spend more time than you do making a character for some random action game and you will see. It's not amazing but it works just fine. You want to complain about the textures, blame the consoles the game plays on. Blame Microsoft and Sony for forcing consoles to outlive their lifespans.

It's more the fact it'd make the customisation go along way if a few sliders for facial features were added..

You are talking about how they characters look like burn victims. They look like that because of the skin in the characters. Limited tech.

 

And no one said a few sliders wouldn't go away.

R* is lucky the main story line sold the crowd or this would have sunk their capital. GTA online will tank and no matter many fanboyz attack normal people, who are upset. it's just not going to change the online games flop.

 

R* probably wanted a niche market anyways or they'd put 50 cents into it's development.

Lol OP you really have no clue, at all. You do not know how it works so again, just stop. You think that coding a brand new UI, and all the backend to a character creation can be done simply? It is not, especially.... Since many players have already made their characters on the current system. And guess what? Only more players will make their characters as designing this new character creation will take time.

 

You want to talk about an update? That's different, you didn't say anything about that. That is like you getting pissed at your parents for not just knowing you were hungry. Be a grown up and actually tell us what you mean. I don't read minds, let alone someone on the internets mind....

is a Slider for Physique: Fat - Robust - Skinny - Toned - Muscular etc

Honestly, it's pretty sh*tty. If i make a white guy he looks like a crack whore and meth head trucker's offspring. Otherwise it's Habeb the Terrorist, Guadalupe the guy infront of home depot or a Black guy who's smoked his knee caps off. They all have burnt face, meth sores and mild down syndrone.

It seems like alot of peoples characters do look quite similar. Which seeing as they try to make GTA games a little personal is a bit disappoiting but i can live with it.

A suggestion for Activities i'd make would be:

 

If you add alot of Sports in Activities, you also get a more toned muscular body. (more definition)

 

If you add alot of Sitting on the Couch, you add a bit extra fat. (less definition and maybe some extra added bulk)

 

Adding too much Partying, Could also change the body a bit.

Coming from an artists point of view I was a bit disappointed in the character creation system. There is a little bit of variety when it comes to creating a character but I would have loved to see an in depth system like the one from Saints Row the Fourth. The male characters seem to be easier to create than the females; most of which have dark bags under their eyes or their faces change strangely in different lighting. Even the collectors edition is a bit scarce on choices. I would however love to see a better system when or if the next GTA is released.

I agree with you OP, especially in a game like this you would think that character customization would be extremely important but instead we're left with minimal sliders and we just have to keep playing around with them to create a character that doesn't look ridiculous..

No... Just No. This creation system is more unique and you can still make good characters if you take your time.

How is it unique? The total number of clothing items would have a hard time even breaking 100. I want a selection as big as Sims or something. I don't want to see 50 other people walking around looking like me.
