Stealing the drill for the big score

So i've done the other set up missions to do the big score and the only one left to do is to steal the drill. It shows up as a mission on my map but when I go and steal the drill nothing happens and when I get far away enough the mission re-appears on my map and a new drill appears. I think for some reason the mission isn't starting correctly...any thoughts or help??
