i'm not trying to be a fanboy but it's kind of depressing when they worked 5 years for this game and people are giving them sh*t, they worked hard on this game and people feel like it's cool and the right thing to do is bash them and get pissed off at them. and yes i know that the servers are being poopy and other stuff but give them time everything will be solved and besides this is current gen and it is dying out slowly by the minute!

defiance had a terrible launch too so rockstar is not the only one. and i assume you know about fixing servers i suppose? if so explain to me how do you get server ready for over 18 million people? please i wanna know the answer to that cause i know damn well i don't.

Perhaps I should be more clear: they anticipated issues with GTAO, yet went ahead with the launch. Or in other words, they launched an incomplete game.

I'm not hating, but If R* was smart, they would allow people from certain regions to play first. For example - After launch they should let Yankees play first for a few hours and start opening different regions every 3-4 hours. If they did that at the beginning everyone could be playing happily now, as there wouldn't be any server overload.

 

Personally, I was only able to create my character. I get kicked out everytime I join, but it has some good sides. I've heard people complaining about 10yrs old kiddos running around shooting people on sight, people being douchebags and some other minor problems. Now that I know everything I can prepare myself better for the online experience.

I'm pretty sure it was said in an interview, and even then common sense-wise, do you really think they sat down developing the game for 5 years straight? There's LOADS of R&D to do before they start making the game, such as taking pictures, finding actors etc

What features was you expecting? tbh some of the stuff that was promised came and i plus i can careless about the features.. aslong i got my buddies i'm straight i don't have to worry about nothing.

I'm sorry but I completely disagree. Give them a break, are you serious? They made one billion (Do not quote me on this) within the first three days! They have all that money and manpower at their disposal and still fail. What about Call of Duty for instance? They get the same amount of people online and their servers seem to hold up fine... Also releasing GTAO two weeks later was a joke, I think that was their biggest fault. I think it is out of order for them to do that. This could have been justified if the servers actually worked - however - they don't. Once again if you compare this with CoD if CoD's multiplayer was released two weeks late there would be uproar! And before you say "GTA campaign is better than Cod's" Yes I believe that too but GTA doesn't take two weeks to complete the story. You can 100% within them two weeks and then the game just becomes mundane and boring. Meh but in short I disagree with the OP, seems that too many people are too quick to defend Rockstar's arse and It annoys me
