Once you get in and see what they did, you'll love it. you'll also be confused at the functionality that was not included in the single player, like GPS tracking for your car or clothing layering.

Rockstar is far off from EA.

EA was voted worst company in america two years in a row. They make mediocre games at best. They constantly disappoint their customers and have notoriously bad customer service.

 

Rockstar has not really done anything before this debacle. They constantly pump out great game after great game. From my experience, their customer service is miles ahead of EA and comparing the two is silly.

If you were rockstar, would you be browsing the forums trying to appease to every troll and constantly give us updates? Or would you spend the time to focus on coming up with a solution? I choose the later considering they have already updated us about knowing the issues and working around the clock to fix them.. What else can they do? Turn sh*t into flowers?

RockStar are busy trying to fix issues rather than post on Twitter to tell impatient morons like yourself where they are. Personally, I'd rather them fix the issues quicker and keep us in the dark than be told every time they change a setting.

Personally EA actually had better services for BF3 and ME3 on release day then GTA Online did. EA actually posted on there forums when the servers would be down and a approximate time for how long EA isn't the best company and they are horribly greedy but seriously it wasn't this bad.

Funny, i live close to EAC in BC and i know people who work there. I have gotten a tour there. People really like their jobs, and get lots of fun benefits. Sure there is a crunch time with lots of time invested because there are deadlines to meet before a launch title, but that goes for any game/other jobs.

 

They run focus groups to get gamers to play their games, get free food, drinks and free copy of an EA game for their time spent there, and they like to get feedback from gamers of all types, hardcore to casual, Racing to shooters.

You'd know that their "estimated time" is usually, at the very least, a few hours off. I'd rather have no updates than to be lied to.

Yes I'm a fanboy of facts. EA really did a great job updating everyone during Sim City launch.

Lol are you serious? It's an ESTIMATED TIME, and normally they are pretty close. Do people even think before they start typing?

Then at 2:00 they say "servers will be up at 3:00. Then that doesn't happen? That's still just an estimated time? Lol, you're a moron.

I figured that Rockstar waited to release the online feature since they saw what happened with Sim City. Figured they wanted to get a feel on just how many people would be playing the multiplayer. Well after 2 weeks of waiting, the online released and is not funtioning properly. Rockstar has not said a word since yestarday on how long these connecting issues would last. I am very disapointed to see they are going the way of EA and ignoring peoples questions. Only time will tell I suppose...

So? How does this, in any way, make them like EA? What do you want them to say? They replied yesterday, and said that they are working on our issues. Do you expect them to give you daily updates?

And these connection issues were a given. It happens with all online releases, and there i no way to prevent it. Even with thousands of extra servers and weeks of preparation, when it comes to millions of people logging on at the same time, they will crash.
