Losing money upon death!

I understand that many have not been able to access Online. I am not one of those people and I can say that I love GTA:Online but, this losing 2000$ per death needs to go. It's way to hard to come by money right now and the possibility of death is way to high for this much of a penalty.

I made an account just to see if there is anyone who agrees with me but, I look to be an active member.

Also, Please for the love of god don't tell me to stop moaning.

inb4 "don't get killed" quips.

I do agree with you. Yeah, we get more health in GTA V but as it currently stands, it's more profitable to play on your own and steal cars to sell on in LS Customs than it is to play with others because the hospital fees are extortionate. The only profitable game I managed to farm with my mates was that meth RV one where you got 5k each game. I wish we'd kept doing that now since I didn't realise that the game took your deposited money upon death.

I completely agree. The penalty is WAY to high for a game where most of the time we're doing stupid things and getting killed on purpose.

If you do stupid things on purpose you might aswell bank your money before you do that. Its not that hard grab your mobile phone and bank it.

This is just the best way to create a money sink

Being killed by another player should not force a penalty on you, that's unfair, but more importantly not fun. Isn't the point of GTA:O having fun?

Dying in a mission, sure, but you should get your ammo restored at least.

Considering i cant do missions atm to make a lot of money, i have to resort to robbing stores for 1-2k and when you die aswell it takes a long time to make monee.

It still takes money from your bank account I can say the penalty is a thing that should stay but, the amount needs to be greatly reduced.

Hate to burst your bubble but the money gets takin from your bank account when your wallets empty.

It's also kinda lame that online when you kill someone you only pick up $100 (doesn't even pay for a cab when you respawn in the middle of f*cking no where) and they lose $2000.

Do you really lose 2k upon death? At the start I even thought I didnt lose money at all, which wouldve been kinda strange. I definitely would notice that. Maybe €200?

Joined a mission, had 55k banked, nothing on me, died 5 times and after the mission completed, we won so i got 2k, i had 43k banked and 2k in hand.. Penalty is bull atm, is it bugged that it affects your banked cash?

When Rockstar gets the stock market going in Online, I plan on spreading my money out over low-risk stock. I'm hoping that my money is safer there than in the bank.

Hello guys!

I also created this account just to share my opinion on this matter aswell. I completely agree with the argument you provide. Dieing in GTA:Online is way too easy and happens ALOT. The missions are hard to solo and as it stands atm, there's way too many bugs in the game to properly play it with others (getting people on missions take ages atm). A few bullets on hard mode and you're toast.

What I find astonishing is the fact that you actually lose money EVEN ON MISSIONS!! Like what in the seven hells is up with that?! I thought missions and races and activities in general was a means of actually GETTING money. And losing money each time you die/fail a job isn't exactly a real incentive to keep doing them is it?

Sure enough, the way they implemented ATM's and the Maze banking on the phone is a great idea, and anything above 5k cash on you at any time can be robbed etc.. I get it. It's a good idea on paper. But when you lose money no matter how you die, even when it's banked.. What's the point? Might aswell remove money alltogether and implement some other currency like points or whatever then you accumulate and spend. NOT that I want that to happen, but it's just as stupid as money stands atm.

What all of this leads to in the end, let's face it, is playing alone or with close friends... In a multiplayer game! It's just a shame. It's got SUCH a potential to be a great multiplayer game. Even when you're in "Passive Mode" people can still run you over and kill you, resulting in you losing 1-2k in medical bills.. If that doesn't make a sane person wanna play alone, that I don't know what..

Only thing I'm left doing is robbing a gas station, then switching to single player when the cops come, then switch back and rob it again.. and it takes like 3 mins and fetch you like 1500 on average.. That's not how i wanna grind cash online lmao... c'mon..

PS: And what's with all the pvp aswell, huh? I thought this was going to be jobs and heists, but with the option to do loads of pvp on the side.. Not 90% pvp, and some fetch jobs every now and then xD

It's taken out of your bank account if you haven't any cash on you. Either way, one is screwed.

It seems if you're aiming for something that costs, you're best of robbing stores over and over til you reach your goal. If your goal is a certain level, you'd be best of just ignoring money all together and grinding jobs, even if you die alot. Mixing the two play styles just seem to generate a whole lot of butthurt at the moment.. anything you earn on jobs are a bonus. and then go for the money goal.. idunno, I'm just gonna grind for the 400k apartment triplex for the moment, then level up afterwards.. Seems boring and pointless, but hey.. what can you do when the game is obviously broken (moneywise).
