It's a shame. The thing that made GTA IV fun online was the fact everything was unlocked. Online airport is locked. No planes. Xbox lagged to hell when playing a cops mission. And cars seem to slide and lag out all the time. Bored of robbing shops already and the map feels really empty.

 

So nothing to do and nothing to see. I liked IV because it wasnt all missions. Free Roams fun...

There is more online content coming, as far as the lag goes they will work that out, it just takes time.

Yeah, didn't expect much from online anyway and I always don't give a single f*ck for online multiplayer in games like gta. It's sad that they removed content from SP to work on online

I find amazing how it lacks common sense on the majority of players here.

 

You go to a restaurant and order something that takes hours to be prepared, wouldn't you complain?

 

You go to a theather and theres a problem with your movie session, wouldn't you complain?

 

You are waiting too long in a line at your bank, wouldn't you complain?

 

Your mobile company is out of service all day long, wouldn't you call them to complain?

 

Your Internet service is not working for 2 days now, wouldn't you complain?

 

 

You have paid for a product/ service or call it whatever you want (talking about the game now) your have the right and should complain and be upset/ pissed of or whatever if this service/product is not working properly.

 

 

Now i know some of you love R* with all your heart and try to defend them (dont really need to they have paid lawyers for that), but the fact is they screw up big time, theres is no excuse for this. You see, i dont care if the servidors are oveloaded because millions of people are trying the game at the same time, i dont care about all the "if s", i want to use a product that i have paid for..

 

 

 

Let me put in another way, most of you have preorder V, what if the store delayed the delivery 2 days after the launch? wouldn't you call them to complain? wouldn't be pissed of? they could argue there was more preorders than they were planning to have and etc etc etc....

wouldn't you want a compensation for the delay?

EVERYONE was expecting lag the first few days so that's no suprise and I guess airport gets unlocked later (the trailer showed a guy in a plane in GTAO)

I am the one who has paid my hard earned cash and added it to their millions or even billions of dollars. The least they can do is sort out this problem and you expect it to be my fault. I don't even understand as to how you are in favor of "Be patient, people". Just remember that you are the one basically paying for Dan Houser's new Ferrari or new mansion by Los Angeles. I also don't even understand how you are so calm and happy about this. I paid for something and I should receive it. Bottom line.

Rockstar was upfront and told us to expect issues, if you really want to show your disapointment then do not buy another Rockstar game, getting on here and ranting is not going to accomplish jack sh*t.

I don't really mind the city's emptyness.

 

What I care and I'm pissed about is that I got kicked for no f*cking reason. I was literally driving around the city and then "Other plyers chose to kick you from the game. Returning to singleplayer."

 

If glitch - R* should improve and fix stuff, not sit on a pile of cash.

If really got kicked by others - Well-f*cking-done R*. It's only one day and this "Bad Sport" sh*t gets abused already.

 

E: Not to mention these f*cking achievements :sui:

I played for about two hours last night and it worked flawlessly. Douches were out in force though, I stole my car back from someone and they chased me around the map ramming me for like an hour. I killed them like 5 times though lol, I bet there was a mad 12 year old somewhere :miranda::lol:

I find it amazing you talk about lacking common sense when you seem to not have much yourself. Im assuming by the what you are saying that this is your very first online game launch. Where to start first....how about your analogies. Its not like ordering at a restraunt and having to wait hours, its waiting at the grand opening of a restraunt owned by people who have little prior experience and expecting to get in, seated, served, and out the door like you would at an applebees, not going to happen. its not like going to the movies and having a movie go wrong and complaining, its like going to the grand opening of a theater the friday the dark knight comes out and expecting it to go without a hitch. in other words you are comparing things that a company has done over and over for some time now (cooking steaks, showing films, help customers, maintain internet, etc) with something brand new and untested to the masses. If you honestly thought yesterday and the next couple days would go without there being major problems, you probably shouldnt be commenting on others lacking common sense.

Because throwing temper tantrums and acting like a spoiled little brat isn't going to fix the online problems. They're working on it, what more do you expect them to do? They even WARNED US that the first few days would be rough. If you're this upset over spending $60 for a premium game, with the SP alone being worth that, then you really need to reconsider your priorities. You said it best yourself, your $60 is a small, tiny, itty bitty fraction of over $1 billion so far. Stop feeling so entitled and important and wait like everyone else.

 

Edit: TWO weeks of VERY LIGHTLY POPULATED BETA TESTING is NOTHING compared to MILLIONS of players trying to log into GTA:O. Are people REALLY this stupid? Or are they just so overcome with rage that they can't think logically?

 

Haha. You make me laugh. And where was I throwing temper tantrums? I was making much sense and explaining calmly how I and others feel about this. Spoiled, huh? I was and am still currently appreciated that GTA V is out. You shouldn't make accusations about me being 'spoiled'. I had to earn that money. It didn't just come out of no-where. I buy the things that I like. No-one is 'spoiling' me. And yes, I now realize that people were warned about the GTA V online errors. Unfortunately, I don't follow the Rockstar news wire, that is why I didn't know about the whole warning situation. That's another reason why I didn't quite understand why Rockstar were making promises that we can just suddenly hop onto V online. But, I'm sorry that these little errors are occurring during online. That is not my problem. As I said, I've contributed to Dan Houser's paycheck and three days of guaranteed online, which isn't playable, is not good enough. If these errors were expected, I don't see why they couldn't just delay the whole thing and go over it again, making it perfect. If I knew this were to happen, I wouldn't give away the money that I earned until I was totally satisfied and everything was functioning properly.

Im comparing services and products. It doenst matter what kind of service / product your buying, it should work just fine.

 

To be honest, i didnt think anything about yesterdays launch, i cant even get to play the game till weekend because of work and other responsabilities at home, unfortunately...

You are right, it is my first "online launch" i actually dont play video games that much, just that i love GTA since i was a kid. And i did love V.

 

I can understand they could have some issues, sure...there are million of people wanting to play the game as soon as avaible. I didnt even know this is common in "online launchs tittles". But we are talking about people not being able to play the game all day long, until now. A LOT of people, this is really serious..

 

Like i said before, i dont care about the problems they are having with servidors, they should be prepared, they had time for this, even a estimate about the number of players online at launch day. I love R* - as my favorite VG company - but all we have is a "commercial relationship", i bought a game they made and i want it to work just fine. Dont care about they problems as much as they dont care about mine. Im just a consumer, nothing else.

 

If you want to be complacent about their mistakes, be my guest. Just respect my opinion.

 

Oh, btw, i feel really sorry about the people that didnt get to play the game yet, come here to complain (because they have the right to) and have to read some really moronic comments like "if you dont like it dont play it" / "go play COD then" / "They have warned us so whats to complain" / "get a life"....and so on.

 

Hang in there people, youll get to play the game sooner or later and you have all the right to be upset about this, just dont espect solidarity from most people here.
