My character is deleted when I reconnected

My character is deleted when I reconnected?

I was level 4, I earned 3-4k and I had a good car and 2 guns and they are all gone

 

WTF is this? If this is gonna happen all the time than how we gonna play? there wasn't save option anywhere too? Am I missing smth :S

So we are playing for nothing.? there is no meaning to play if we gonna start from the beggining continously? Also what if someone who purchases gta money with real money and gets his char. deleted? than what? R* is really annoying I'm glad I was at the beggining of the game and did 2 missions

All the information is stored in the rockstar cloud. I think the cloud is having some trouble at the moment again. Once it comes back online again, your character should re-appear. (it what happened to me)

We're playing GTA in an open online world...in drips and feeds.

 

I'm happy enough with this, even if I do have to start again! When it gets stable I'll be even happier.

Once they get cloud up and running your character will be back happened with cloud storage for on xbox about 5 or 6 months ago for 3 days no one could get into their saves I had a 88 percent GTA IV save I wanted to try and finish once they got it all working it was there and they gave me an extra month too

In level 23 and i got kicked out of the game hoping my chracter didn't get deleted. if so then i'll just go play diablo 3 untill servers are fully functional,

Same thing JUST happened to me. I was playing fine for a few hours and was level 5 or 6 with 13k and now when I went back on the game it's not showing any of my characters...

Same happenes to me , but i created new one and when i came back in i saw i have money from last character in bank , so not all lost i guess

Nobody has lost their characters for good. When the servers have a problem, your character doesn't show up and it usually tells you it can't save anything. When the servers are up again, your character comes back. It's happened like 4 times to me already.

God no. If the cloud servers are offline, you STOP trying to play the game. Creating a new character is liable to result in your character from before being totally lost.

I started over 4 times, on purpose. Wasn't happy with the way the character looked until the fourth try.

 

Deleted the other characters on my own.

Same thing happened to me so I'm just gonna wait till the cloud servers are back to see if I have my character, I'm not re-making another one that sh*t was annoying.

 

And about the money thing, I read someone's post here randomly yesterday, where they spent $20 to get that million in game or something like that. They had the downtown loft, 10 car garage, $400k+ in the bank. I think she left and came back and her character got deleted and everything was gone. I don't know how they're gonna fix that or what they're going to do about it, cause she just lost real money....

My character has been deleted 6 times now. Fun, huh?

They are most likely making some physical changes to get the game permanently online by today. I think this is a good sign actually. My character was gone, made a new one but the clothing and name options are currently gone. Then after waiting a minute or two my character just spawned into a session instead of the opening sequence for a few seconds and it disconnected, so they are definitely making some changes.
