The race loading screen, how long did it take you?

I finally got online with my PS3. I'm at the race just after being picked up from the airport. I'm at the blurry screen of Los Santos and "waiting for other players" for over 10 minutes. Do I need to restart the game? Will that damage my save? How long did you have to wait to actually join a race?

We've all pretty much lost connections on PS3 in the last hour or so. I'd say manually sign out of PSN from the XMB, rather than resetting your console. I wouldn't try going back until people here start getting connections again.

I started a solo session (didn't even bother to connect to other players) and the first time it took me 30 mins then I quitted the game and when I loaded solo online again I the loading screen lasted 5 mins. Now I am stuck again on the post race loading screen....
