I don't understand, I click on passive mode but players still took my car and ran me over..

 

And how do you "save" the game? Is it autosaved?

It auto saves I believe. And it seems passive doesn't work if you're idling in your car or if they choose to just run you over instead of shoot you. Hope they fix that.

I was kind of expecting the car thing. Hopefully, if nothing else, you can start to make longer dodge maneuvers. Maybe that'll be a thing at some point, for defense against dinks.

 

Here's hoping Passive works against explosives too.

yeah i need f*cking passive mode. twice now i've been killed by players while trying to walk around and steal cars. i've resorted to leaving the server as i die just so i won't lose the f*cking $2000 medical fee

Passive mode was never made to make you f*cking invincible...

 

Seriously.

 

If you want to play without dying, stick to offline mode with the god mode cheat.

On PS3, pretty much. But maybe it's just an age thing, kids getting online before school and such. Had a kid shoot at me while I was trying to rob the first liquor store, another try repeatedly to run me over, and some random drive by attempt by some kid who was way too young to play the game.

 

Haven't played since this morning, but I will say there was one guy I met during the beginning missions that was really cool and gave me hope. Great first mission, picked up the drugs, delivered, then we shared a laugh as I pulled away from this dude trying to get in the car with us a couple times, but then that guy pulled a gun out, so I floored it and we hauled ass out of there. First day GTA:O memories!
