Help on Map Converting From GTA I To III

I wanted to convert map from GTA 1 in GTA III, but I had such here a question - as to make it? From GTA 1 I have map in .map format,but what to do farther?

I remember the day he posted this. He was really active in the scene and inspired me. Also, he posted this:

I assume he found a way to convert the GTA1 map to RenderWare but gave up on it. This is quite sad, as I was looking forward to bringing this map to MTA.

Me and s4sgogeta had an idea for it where we not only import gta 1's map,we update it to be on par with lll's graphics and add missions to be more of a TC...
