How do you turn off the sound for voice chat?

Could someone please tell me this quick do i need to quit the game and go to audio setting or what coz i cant seem to find it in the game and the chat from other people is really annoying!

Seriously someone please help me with this ha turning off voice chat in audio settings doesnt work and the game is virtually unplayable with these dopes screaming and roaring through their headsets!

If you are on Xbox you can change change Voice settings through the Xbox menu, while you are in the game. I'm at work so I don't know the exact steps, but pull up the Xbox menu from within GTA and head to the right. Somewhere there is the setting, and you can set the volume to zero for all chat. The retards annoy the sh*t out of me too, so this was a huge find for me!

sorry meant ta say im on ps3 i know the xbox one alrite but theres no audio setting ta do that outside of the game on ps3

 

and the in game one doesnt work.

 

not a bad idea fatstogie only i don't have a headset!

 

solo play for me from now on anyway haha

i asked the same question earlier in a different thread......hold select and pull up the menu....it should be an option in their......but im just going off what other people said.....my character got deleted, so i havent tried it myself.....hope that helps

That worked!thank you so much for that your a lifesaver ha it was awful trying to play with the constant noise thank god its off now

The select menu option does not work while doing missions/jobs with others. You still have to listen to suburban blacks and mexicans trying to talk like thugs and gangbangers .

 

Rockstar thinks they are all like white college guys voice chatting, if they knew what it really sounds like they would not have implemented voice chat at all.

This comment is F'd up in so many ways. Something tells me the person who wrote it doesn't even realize this.
