Is everyone losing $2000 EVERY time they die?!

It seems like every time that I die, whether I'm playing death match or doing a mission or doing a race or free-roaming I lose just around $2000. It doesn't make sense to me that when you're doing missions with your buddies and you're playing games where the objective is to kill them, or be killed by them, that you should lose so much money every time you die. It's to the point where it doesn't seem worth it to me that you play a game and die A number of times times and only get rewarded one or 2000 for the mission... It took me a a while to figure out why my bank account was depleting...

Im not sure, but I think its a percentage of what you're carrying that you lose......although Im probably totally off the mark on that.

 

It is pretty annoying how much you lose, when me and a friend first got into a free-roam yesterday we were so hyped to be playing it we went mental, died loads, and I lost pretty much all of the $8,000 i started out with. I guess it does encourage you to take it seriously, and not just rampage all the time.

I didnt know this was even happening, guess cause Im pretty poor atm. They need to address this. They went through the trouble of putting anti-griefing systems in place and it's only a matter of time before a group of trolls start running around with armor and mini guns (and other OP weapons) just wiping everyone out on the map just to make people lose thousands

Yeah I noticed that too. Me and a Guy were raging yesterday against eachother. We finished and my bank was down 10 grand. Wtf. I had zero cash on me.

It's hard to see how you're ever gonna build up a big stash of cash if the medical bills are so astronomical, I won the intro race so I thought I would be cool 'cos I was starting with about 8 G's - all of it gone within 20 mins.

Its been announced for a looooong time you guys! Money carried on you, you will lose a percentage! PUT IT IN YOUR BANK! Did you not listen to the tutorial??? Come on. My opinion you should lose everything you have on hand not just a little bit!

Even if I'm not carrying anything and all my moneys in the bank, it just takes it straight out of my bank account! It's kind of discouraging after working so hard for cash to get it taken away playing kill or be killed game modes with my friends...

I don't really understand this either. I deposit my cash regularly, but I commited my 9th store robbery in one session, had 4 wanted stars straight from the off and after running around for a few mins, got shot to pieces. When I respawned, cash seemed pretty much untouched and I still had just over $1500 in my wallet from the robbery - so just banked it and was up on the amount I had pre-store fail.

Sorry GTA:O's world does not cater to obamunism. You troll around and get people mad and killing you, you reap the benefits of premium out-of-pocket coverage. If you are skilled and dedicated you will have so much monies you won't even notice it.
