Any other X360 people still stuck at the race?

With all the PS3 people being able to get on now, I thought maybe I could finally get past the race on 360 at last as well, but no such luck so far. Anyone else still stuck?

Well the blue circle appears for me now. But I just get the loading icon and "looking for players".

Doesn't progress from there.

Cant start the first race either even after deleting update n reinstalling

Im on xbox and im getting stuck at the blurry city after the blue circle to start the race

Well at least I'm not the only one, seems like all my friends can get on no problem now though. This is frustrating to say the least

I can't even get further than the 'loading GTA Online' screen after character creation.

Restart console then when the online pops up on the title loading quickly press it this way it will give you a launching session. Give it a while it took me nearly 3 hours of loading before it worked once it did I've had no issues

yeah still stuck at the race here...on 360. i was able to play online early yesterday morning using a temporary character....and after doing jobs for like 20 minutes it finally played the intro cutscene with lamar lol

Anyone else getting stuck where the characters are standing about? It let me past this stage eventually yesterday, and i've only got to the blurry screen today, first time it's got to here.

 

Been on this screen about 25 mins so far, people have come and gone, keep waiting?

Still stuck on that first race. Tried a private session first time, got stuck on the launching session message. Second attempt I accessed the online through character switch, and it went to my created character. No intro, same guy I created. I thought I could free roam, but nope. Automatically walks to the race marker and then it's stuck on waiting for other players message.

The furthest ive gotten was the drug pick up and delivery after the race. Then it went into the view where you stand in one place too long and it goes into a first person view.

I get on, but I always f*cking get kicked. The f*ck is up with that? Can't even get past the damn first cut scene, and when I did, I went to go get "drugs" and got in a gun fight and then my character turned invisible and everybody vanished. I was just stuck standing there, with no character looking in circles? Geez hopefully after work today it's better....

Got in earlier this morning after an hour of trying. Completed the race, did the drug pick-up, but then went on to the Cypress whatever deathmatch (which failed to generate/crashed on launching). Restarted back to dashboard, fired up single player and saw the fourth slot of the character wheel was available, hit it and dropped straight into freeroam.

 

No connection problems whatsoever since, I've been in an out of the mode five times now as well as switching sessions, racked up a couple of hours and heading towards rank 7.

 

Whether this will hold up tonight when user traffic increases is anyone's guess though.

when I go into the blue circle it shows someone bring me a car then going to the players screen then someone else brings me the same car, then I get locked on the loading screen with the blurry cityscape like Slippery Gypsy said

With the first character i made i was able to get passed the race but with my second character i can't. Weird.

I have had both the blurry skyline and the waiting with other people situations.

From previous experience... It means you're still screwed sadly. But it seem's to be different for everyone
