Finally got online! (PS3)

started solo and did the race but now I am stuck in satelite view but I can hear things going on around me. so freaking lame.

I get to the point where my character is about to get into the car after Lamar's cutscene and credits, the screen blurs and.... nothing...

Not to be annoying but mine is working near perfectly. few missions won't work but rest is ok

Ditto, where are you guys in the world? So far I see a lot of PS3 owners on the East Coast not being able to connect.

you jerks better not be raising my hopes. I heard it wouldn't work until October 14th for ps3 owners. I don't want to be dropped in as a level 0 noob after abunch of other already unlocked everything.

 

be like playing red dead redemption and be taken out by some old whore on a zebra over and over...

although all this talk of hospital bills and a wonky bad sport system still has me worried.

I managed to do a couple of things! Got some clothes, my own car and was about to enter a deathmatch when it froze. Now it says that the cloud-servers are offline, I just hope my stuff's still there!

 

Edit: I'm on PS3!

so my guy walks to the marker for the race, it cuts to the blurred screen then back to him stood in the circle with a messed up character creation menu with nothing but the top titles. Then does the cutscene with him walking to the circle again and the "waiting for other players" .. furthest iv ever got but been waiting a good 10mins now and nothing !

Been speaking to friends and relatives that have the game on PS3.

 

So far I know of 6 people in the UK, 3 people in Italy, 4 people in Austria and 1 person in Holland that have made it past the first race.

 

I dont have proof that they are online but they say they are and I know these people, their word is good enough for me.

 

I have had no such luck and I know many more people that are still unable to get online.

Lost connection again and can't get back in at the moment. Solo works fine for me, I managed to get myself a Futo with a tracker and insurance before I quit. I'll try again in a couple of hours and let you guys know how I get on.

PS3 UK. I was on earlier for an hour or so. Ripped off several shops, had several great gunfights and car chases with randoms.

 

Everyone started dropping from server then i got kicked too.

 

I imagine it won't be long til they apply a temp fix, was working great.

Just chilling at the loading session screen when you first get into the race car. I can hear chatter. I must be getting close.

Can't even play solo here, cloud keeps going down when i finish making my character so it throws me back to sp or the infinite loading screen.

I can play "solo" and I managed to switch host via the options menu, then I could see other people! But then it froze in the clouds when I tried to do a mission.
