..GhosT Posted October 2, 2013 Share Posted October 2, 2013 Huh, servers got overloaded. They most likely tracked player counts in those two werks and ordered servers for all. Believe it or not, deliveries from retailers and/or companies may take several weeks even up to months. Thats probably why its so laggy because the servers are overloaded. JonRenemy Posted October 2, 2013 Share Posted October 2, 2013 To be honest, once the intro mission finishes, you're more or less sorted. I'd go as far as to say there's definitely a bug with the intro... it's not server overload because once I passed that (took about an hour trial and error) I can join an online group of 16 players almost as fast as a normal character switch in single player. And this is just the beginning... so it'll probably get even better. I think people need to be more patient at that first hurdle. Don't just let the intro sit for hours waiting... if you haven't connected within 5 minutes, restart the game. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Look at it this way... lets say ONE person posts that they can't get connected to GTA V online and then no one else does. Do you think R* would be working on a fix? No..because there aren't a lot of people complaining. The more people complain, the more R* is going to try and fix. But where do you draw the line before you start getting a-holes like Fuzzknuckles? Yeah, it seems like a lot of people here are too young to even play GTA legally lol. All these complainers have no idea how difficult it is to host enough people to make over 1 billion in 3 days. But then again, we live in an age where the average gamer is so entitled he might as well slap his name on the box of every game he plays, because he is that important to the game.
