XBOX 360 - Go into your system settings then storage, delete the online update (it's like 59 Mb or something) then redownload it when you restart the game. On the loading screen load online straight away.

 

It worked first time for me after hours of waiting last night and this morning. This also worked for my friend!

It doesn't matter anyways. Even if you get to play online, it's completely bugged at the moment. There's no point in going online if you have to worry about it not saving or your character being deleted.

just tried ur idea on the ps3, did not work at all, I still have my online character showing down the bottom as the 4th guy, just cant get online keeps saying "Failed to host GTA Session" which im pretty sure everyone is getting.

Guess its just about playing the waiting game oh and FIFA 14..
