sjaak327
Yeah, because there's only one place in all the many time zones that are trying to play the game. That's how the world works. Also: Working round the clock does not mean giving constant updates. It means working until it's fixed then giving an update. FFS. The traffic from countires besides US won't compare. If they can't handle times of day when most people in the US are asleep, their servers either suck ass or these bugs are not connection related. Based on what exactly. You honestly believe Asia and Europe have less V players than the US ? We are talking about a few billion against the odd 300 million in the US. The arrogance and ignorance is overwhelming ! Anyways, I'd love to know how they expect to solve these issues tomorrow, or this weekend for that matter, when the servers are f*cked up even when the country that bought more copies than any other (The United States) has low internet traffic right now. Obviously US traffic will start to rise because it's 8 AM on the east coast...but since the servers were overloaded even before people in the US woke up today, how will they possibly be stable today? I think the answer is that they won't be, it'll be just like yesterday. Edited October 2, 2013 by CharlieSheem

Are you for real? Europe is pretty much in the same time zones... when europ is awake and playing there wont be many less/more then in Usa... Exactly the point I was making. But it seems OP had the chant "MURICA MURICA MURICA" going round and round in his head, so loud that he forgot that there are several billion people in the world that don't live in America. I'm willing to bet real, cold hard CASH MONEY that some of those people outside of America have bought GTA and are trying to get online. Potentially, there might be more than 7 of them. It's incredible, I know. Let me explain something in a way that is more clear for you.. First off it is delusional to think that GTA 5 didn't sell more in the US than any other country. I can assure you it made up for atleast 40-50% of the $800 million in profit they made on day one. Their marketing campaign was also more focused on the US, even putting up large murals in major US locations like Times Square NYC (That's not cheap.) 8000 stores in the US were open at midnight, most had dozens, or even hundreds of customers. And that's just the stores that opened at midnight. So my point is that GTA 5 made more in the US than any other country, I am sure. Next would be the UK, but I would expect they had atleast half the sales of the US. Now, right now (4AM) there is a major dip in US traffic/people playing Xbox. Makes sense, they are sleeping. So, despite the fact that the country that has sold the most copies doesn't have nearly as many people trying to play right now compared to earlier, the servers are still showing connectivity issues. So, how will this possibly be better tomorrow, when millions of people in the US are awake and trying to play? My main point is this: Rockstar not only can't handle the amount of server load required for GTAO, but they aren't even close to being able to support the amount of people that bought the game. LOL for real?? We are talking time zones... Europe vs USA I bet Europe has MORE players then USA... and more sales! You really need to wake up and remove your head from your ass, It's people liek you that gives the US of Gay a bad name! **edit** Oh and just so you know.... GTA is made by the Houser brothers (Scottish) at Rockstar North in UK, The whole theme of the game is ripping the piss out of USA.. INCLUDING their clever marketing, plastering this piss take of USA all over the major citys in...USA... even that is a joke on...USA lol.... I think the answer is that they won't be, it'll be just like yesterday. I am not having a go at you for some typo, but because you seem to think the US would be the source of most of the traffic to these servers, which of course it isn't. It might have sold the most copies, but it's only a single country, with just over 300 million citizens, yet Europe is in full swing and not only is GTA very popular there, there is also much more citizens than ub the US. Hence the traffic generated in Europe wouldn't be far off from traffic generated in the US. Not to mention Asia, which is also in full swing. The notion that R*;s servers should have it easy because the US is sleeping is ludicrous. And don't worry, this situation might take some time to resolve. Complain again next week. All of the music in the trailers was music popular in the United States (Queen, Jay Rock, Waylon Jennings). That was to appeal to US viewers more than anything. Also, the game is set in California, another thing made to appeal to the US more than anyone. That's why they spent so much time living in LA during the games development right? Yeah I'm sure they HATE the US. They seem to like our money and vacationing here for long periods of time just fine though it seems. I don't think GTA is anti American or making fun of the US, it's just satire at worst. Alot of people over here love the GTA series and enjoy it more because it is based in the US. It's just comfortable/appealing because of that for US players, more than the rest of the world, I suppose. But most Chinese people, which is obv most of the Asian population, is poor. I'm not making fun of them. Just look at the statistics yourself, do some research on poverty in China.
