new to this forum and mainly stay in the group meetups section so sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

Is the glitching cars for money working properly for anyone? I have to spawn at last location on and drive into los santos with my sultan, pause, swap and either respawn back at the apt. or somewhere random on the map in a different car. does this happen to anyone else?

thanks

When robbing stores be sure to have a mask. when you exit the store and lose sight lines from the cops, go into your inventory and take off the mask, it will lose one star. Also, if you rob stores one after the other you will obtain more and more stars as you go to exit the building.

Smoking reduces your health.

Survival missions give you money and RP even if you fail.

You can complete races and parachuting missions by yourself and receive RP for doing so.

You have to have a home before you can take a stripper home with you.

Hookers automatically run from you upon exiting the vehicle.

If you run into A Ninja Poop on xbox live be sure to befriend him or stay out of his way.

This is what he does to player's vehicles when they f*ck with him...

Then i call my mechanic for a free auto delivery and repair and he waste his time.

Not really... since you're going to be paying for your own premium. I stay broke. No money + me blowing up your vehicle = you paying.

Love the thread! I looked through all the posts & I didn't see these:

-While in cover, push up with left joystick & fire to shoot without losing cover.

-Press the square button while aiming & moving & you will roll in that direction, breaking anyone's auto aim that was on you for a few seconds.

-Start a crew on Rockstar Social Club. You can choose a crew color that's not in the game. This color will then be an option for smoke, paint, & tinting chrome.

-You can be in up to 5 crews. You can change your crew on the fly under Friends in the start menu. Before you start a race or mission, if you're playing with someone in one of your crews, make sure you have the same crews turned on. You get more points & bonuses for playing with crew members. You also unlock things in LS Customs by ranking up in your crew. Even if you run races by yourself for practice, you'll level up. You can also customize any crew logo you want & put it on your car or jacket. & of course, you get the free Elegy.

-You also get more money the higher the ranks in the race & the more people, but only if you win.

-Square button changes personal weapons while in a land vehicle, rockets & machine gun if you're in the Buzzard chopper.

-Pushing both analog sticks makes your character do their specified action like giving the finger. You can set this under the Start menu in Options. The Social Club Crew lets you set 'Bro Love', an action that isn't in the online game.

-When doing a stunt jump, the only thing that matters is that all 4 tires touch the ground at the same time. I've done small jumps that still count as completed.

-When robbing, if the guy doesn't run away after he gives you the money, shoot him. He's going to pull out a shotgun & try to shoot you.

- May seem obvious, but L1 & R1 control the rudder or left & right in flying vehicles. Going under bridges helps your flying stats, but the quickest way is to do the flying races. Even flying them on your own, ranks up your stat in no time & flying will be much easier with less turbulance & movement.

- Pressing x in water vehicles, makes them turn quicker. Don't ignore the water races. Winning just one, unlocks colors in LS Customs.

-If you use auto aim, just push up a bit on the joystick to get a headshot for more points & an instant kill.

-I saw someone on here ask about silencers. Using them will improve your Stealth bar & make it less likely you'll get a star. Since you can't run in your apartment or garage, make a habit of walking around in stealth mode. I maxed mine in just a few days doing this. It'll make it harder for you to be heard when doing missions & shorten your wanted time when you're hiding.

- Have a friend sit in a car on top of a parking garage. Pull out your pistol & hit the car using the Circle button. Do this as long as you can before the cops arrive, then jump off the roof using the ramp-there's always a ramp on a parking garage roof in GTA games & always a great way to avoid the cops, including a cinimatic of your jump-& when you get away, you'll notice that not only has your Strength stat gone up, but so will your Shooting. Strength lets you jump from greater heights without damage & do more damage in melee. Improving your Shooting stat helps with recoil & makes the sniper rifle steadier.

-If you're near the West Coast & have lots of stars, try to get to the pier & steal a waverunner. I've never been caught by the Coast Guard police or choppers when I do this. Don't think you can dive & get away underwater. They'll shoot you every time through the water. Unless your near that cove someone talked about on the East side about a third a way up the map. My chopper died & I crash landed & dove in there & lost 4 choppers. Just hide behind the huge rock in the middle.

- If you're being chased by the cops in your super car & you're near off road, you can go almost vertically up the side of a mountain much easier than in an off road vehicle. The electric Coil is great for this, since no matter how much you beat it up, it won't explode. Once they lose sight, hide in bushes to lose the choppers.

-When hosting a race, set it to personal best under laps. If you beat your old time, you get more points. Set wanted level to on as well. The police never chase you in a race. If it's Criminal Records or Down the Drain, turn on traffic, too, for more points. There won't be any traffic since these races aren't in the street.

-Holding down the select button brings up a menu. Inventory will let you change what you're wearing, including armor. You can also set who can get into your car & who you chat with. Great for those annoying kids yelling into their headset or singing in the shower.

-If your car is skidding a lot in races, try Sport or Tuner tires. They're stickier & will hold you in those tight turns. I shaved a whole second off my Criminal Records best time on the first try. Only use the handbrake for turns on motorcycles. In cars, use your regular brake, & accelerate throught the turn like a real car. When I host a race, I always turn on Rain & watch people skid out on the first turn. Once you see which cars are available in each class for races, try to stock up on at least one in your garage & max out it's stats at LS Customs. Make sure you have Custom cars turned on when you host the race. It usually is by default. Make sure you try out different cars before you sink all your money into it. Just because a car like the Adder is fast, doesn't mean it has great acceleration or handling. Don't let anybody tell you which car is the best. Try them all & see which one you feel comfortable with. They all have different qualities. You can see the high sport cars stats on the web page where you purchase them. Pay attention to braking & traction. It makes a huge difference.

- You can shoot the doors off the Armored Truck if you aim for the middle, but you risk them getting away while you're trying to do it & getting hit by unmarked cars that will ram you. Stay in your car & throw a sticky bomb. The truck will take off & leave the money. & you have more time to get away from the cops, which will be 3 stars, including choppers. Have your getaway route already planned.

-Most blue tooth headsets for phones will work with your console. Communication is important during missions that require team work. I don't know how many missions I've done with people who didn't know what they were doing & I had no way of talking to them.

-Jumping & hitting R1 will make you slide over the hood or roof. This one's kind of tricky but it has a big wow factor when you get it right.

-Pushing right on the DPad turns your lights on & off. Holding it puts your top up or down in a convertable. There's a sport version of some cars, which may have different features, like the lights on the roof for the Mammoth Patriot or a hard top version of a convertable. These can't be changed in LS Customs.

-You can grab Trevor's jeep if you make a left down the dirt road in the mission Dirt Road & save it in your garage before completing the mission. It's fully customizable. Get somebody to call Lester & sic the mercs on you & if you survive, you can keep their jeep. Also very customizable.

-The Ifruit app for Iphones & Androids let's you make a custom licence plate. Don't worry if it doesn't appear in LS Customs right away. It's a little glitchy, but it'll show up as an option eventually.

-If you want a nice car for a quick mission that has armor & bulletproof tires, go to the big dishes next to the prison at 10 am. Sneak up from behind & steal one the FIB cars or vans. They'll shoot at you, but you can get away easily with no stars. You can't save it without glitching it into your garage but it's great to use for a while.

-If you're up north & survive 4 stars, grab the Sheriff's SUV & take it to the customs up there in the North West. That's the only customs you can use with it & then you can keep it & customize it.

These are some of my favorites. Hope I'm not repeating anything & I hope it helps.

Peace

D

PS- It is not necessary to honk your horn at the beginning of a race. Concentrate on hitting the gas on go so you get the Turbo boost. I think it's 8 turbo boosts to unlock things in LS Customs & something like 30 slipstreams & 20 stunt jumps for more customization options. I'm not sure about those numbers, though. Maybe someone can verify.

Oh, & for anybody using the resell glitch to get more money, be careful. Rockstar is threatening to have a cheater's lobby like they do for bad sports, except it's supposed to last for 2 months. & they're threatening to also take your money if they catch you.

When robbing stores be sure to have a mask. when you exit the store and lose sight lines from the cops, go into your inventory and take off the mask, it will lose one star. Also, if you rob stores one after the other you will obtain more and more stars as you go to exit the building.

I wear face paint & a mask. Taking the mask off didn't work. Does wearing face paint negate that trick of losing a star? Anybody know about this one?

Oh, & you can't climb up on the roof anymore in survival mode. It'll tell you to return to the battle & if you don't, makes you quit the mission. Alas, no more camping on the roof in Boneyard.

I'm trying to put together some strategies for Survival & started a thread.

Not much yet, but stop by if you have something to contribute.

Some really great tips here, especially the idea of selling two cars per hour. I can't believe I hadn't thought of that.

To provide a possible tip:

If you're not receiving 'Gang Attacks' after 17 (most likely from leveling to fast/boosting), do at least two of the missions from your job lists and after the second you should receive multiple calls from Simeon, Lester, etc, answer them all.

Anyone know how to put your crew emblem on your t-shirt AFTER character creation?

you can go to a clothing store, discount, ponsybys, any of those places that have shirts. you go to crew emblem and then choose if you want big or small. its pretty easy. if you don't have it, and it needs to be unlocked, then I suggest reading about some tips to earn your rank up, then go back and you should have it. (some things are limited to what size you can use) :)

if anybody wants to know how to get to a secret area in the game, here is how to get there, simply go to the prologue and go through the mission until you get outside where you have a gunfight with the cops, as soon as this happens run into the car park and pause the game, then get a friend to invite you into a invite only match, once you are in order or steal a helicopter and fly to the bottom right corner of the map. after a while you will see mountians appear in the sky, fly up to them and land, you are now in north yankton.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! if you manage to find the bank that you rob in the prologue you can get inside by going through the mechanical door that leads to the police fight that you end up in, you do this by simply walking through it as it seems to have noclip, you then walk into the corner of the door to your right and set on your options "spawn: last position"

you then open your phone to jobs and exept a job, exept the settings for the job but then back out, and heypresto you are inside the bank. hope this helped people find a little bit of fun in the bank.

I've done some North Yankton research, but next on my list is content creating and ultra-scanning for little gags.

I can confirm that you can get a wanted level while in North Yankton, the police and helicopters do come after you. The cars are the typical mainland cars, they slip and slide all over the place. I'm trying to get paramedics and fire trucks, but no luck right this second.
There are no other vehicles. I haven't even found any people, but apparently there's one woman sitting somewhere. Word of warning, when the textures start to get more and more fuzzy, turn around. If you keep going you may fall through the floor. It's designed a bit like the old N64 games, things are positioned to create the illusion that there's more.

And guys, I really need your help. I've got a lot more research to do for the GTA Online community (GTA Forums included), I now need to try and create races or death matches while in North Yankton. I also need to scan the area in great detail to check out little hidden jokes here and there.

So far I've found 2 little gags (1, 2), an alien (1, 2, 3) & optical some illusions (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

Look out for when the floor gets fuzzy, you might fall through it. This can also happen around the grave of Michael, so be careful. If you do fall, just an hero. You should end up back in Yankton.

you can call 911 and order police, fire or paramedics

i had a 5 star war the other night, it was fun.

its also possible for someone who isnt doing the glitch to hover on land and pick u up in a heli

left of the movie theatre is a store called "pawn store" and it has noclip and there is a "hole" located right inside the storefront so you fall out of yankton into the ocean.

the irony in it being called pawn store lol

also noticed the waves underneath yankton are huge, larger than any waves anywhere else

anyone knows how to activate the body armor? until know i always bought a new one but i found that while pressing select u can choose it from there but it doesn't show more health bar so it doesn't actually work?

When selecting armour from the inventory, all you're doing is selecting a visual - you're dressing up. The blue bar below the map is the only reliable way to know if you have armour on & how much remains.

Took me a few goes to realise that!

-Singing while in the shower in your apartment gives you RP. Leave music playing into your mic overnight to exploit this.

How do you do this with it kicking you out of the shower after a few minutes. I'm sure if it kicked you out and you left it on all night you would not keep going in and out of the shower by yourself by just leaving it running. You would get the XP from the one shower session and that would be it. Or is there a secret ? Edited by onefast96svt

When you have a bounty on your head - always try to get a jet and fly over the sea. The people chasing you will not know if you have a jet or boat. Also try to stay away from the city as most players hangout in the city and will take them longer to get to the countryside
