GTA Online Tips and Tricks

Want to up your kills but scared of fighting face-to-face?

Simply place proximity mines at the doorways of LSC, Ammunation, shops, etc. Some poor f*cker will unwittingly walk into it and KABOOM!!!

This was the exact method I used to convince several of my friends that worrying about KDR in GTA is quite meaningless. Then I kind of got addicted to doing it for its own sake, and now I actually put thought into how and where I put mines down.

LSC is probably the best spot because people will be driving along too fast to spot or hear the mines most of the time, as long as you are willing to accept the risk that you may blow up some PVs along the way (although it happens much less often than one would expect). Booby-trapping the Vespucci helipad or the ladders on the hospital is also a great way to catch people trying to pick up vehicles.

And of course, putting a mine outside someone while they're in a store is always interesting, because lots of people will hear the mine beeping but have a tough time figuring out how to exit the store without dying (since so many people refuse to use passive mode when it is clearly the best solution to a problem).

I found a spot (in a glitch) at LCS where the mines stay and keep killing people down side is you become a bad sport very fast!

Some Executive Search tips.

1) Try to blend in with NPC's. This is the most important part of my strategy.

I survived 3 searches tonight. One at the hippy trailer park/quarry (milled around with NPC's, ran off with NPC herd when people came over and started firing. Nobody seemed to notice me) and two downtown (literally just took an off the street car and drove around like a NPC).

It's boring, but this method has worked well for countless searches.

2) find a nice protected area, leave an obvious PV at the entrance, and run away. Generally they will hunt around the building/area for a while before realizing you're not there, buying you a few minutes.

3)Practice your smooth driving/walking. NPC cars and peds move rather smoothly. Jerky steering and braking can give away your position.

4) no matter how tempting, don't kill the hunters, they will find you. Some blood spatter or dents in your car will give away your disguise, and they will see your outfit if you kill them on foot.

Plus it's funny when they walk literally right past you.

How to get full payout almost every time on the Pacific Standard Heist Finale

Requirements: Las Lanugas Blvd apartment and a Kuruma inside the garage

  1. Hard difficulty. Start heist and divvy payouts as you would usually.
  2. One person grabs the cash.
  3. When it's time to exit the bank and run for the bikes, the one with the cash and an extra bodyguard must leave the bank for three or five seconds and then run back in. The other two bodyguards fight their way to the bikes. (Note: Sometimes a stray cop will appear inside the bank, so watch out so you don't lose cash.)
  4. Once at the bikes, destroy them and one of the bodyguards needs to kill themselves. If wearing a heavy utility vest, two sticky bombs will do.
  5. Restart. Everyone will then spawn near the bikes.
  6. Destroy the bikes again.
  7. Whoever owns Las Lanugas with their Kuruma in the garage must go inside it and bring it out to drive everyone. MAKE SURE IT IS SET TO PASSENGERS BEFORE YOU EXIT THE GARAGE!
  8. Drive off the cliff. The one with the cash jumps out of the vehicle. This is to insure that he doesn't lose cash when the Kuruma slams into the ground.
  9. ???
  10. PROFIT!

VIP Work Maximizing Your Payouts (v1.33)

In this short guide, you will only need to do Executive Search and Most Wanted back-to-back (plus Piracy Prevention if you have a yacht).

Recommended: No other VIPs doing work in the session. Small low-level lobbies. The Buzzard Attack chopper for quick transport and getting up on buildings. The Armored V12 Schafter for getaways. A Rhino tank.

Executive Search:

  • Stay within the city to get an ideal VIP work spawn.
  • Always use the tunnels or sit atop a building out of sight.
  • If somebody finds you or turn up on the radar, kill yourself immediately. This won't stop the job, only teleport you someplace else within the circle.
  • Always keep moving.
  • As the VIP, you are Off the Radar for ten whole minutes. You can use this time to catch opponents off guard.
  • Don't draw unnecessary attention to yourself.
  • Call in a transport and gather up your bodyguards the last minute.
  • Last fifteen seconds, you can take yourself Off the Radar and drive away from the VIP work circle.

Most Wanted:

  • Ideal places: Construction site, Los Santos International Airport, glitch spot south of the Masks shop
  • or simply sit in a tank
  • Go watch some YouTube videos or read a book.

Rinse and repeat.

Every 60 minutes (optional) - Piracy Prevention:

  • it's recommended that the VIP/CEO own the Pisces ($7mill yacht) because it includes a tarp over the captain's cabin preventing players from parachuting in and because it's easier to traverse levels and front/back of the yacht
  • At least one person must be stationed on the yacht for defense.
  • place two proximity mines down by the boats near both ladders
  • place three proximity mines on the inside of each entryway to the captain's cabin

To Reset Your VIP Time: Start up Hostile Takeover when your time runs down to three minutes. Once your VIP time is done, switch to Franklin in story mode, enter a Closed Friends session, check to see if your VIP time is reset, then rejoin your friends or enter a public session to start VIP work again.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CEO Work - Maximizing Your Profits (v.1.34)

Recommended: Dead public lobbies, such as when you enter a lobby with just you in it. At least one friend. The Buzzard Attack chopper.

In the latest GTA: Online update "Further Adventures in Finance & Felony", you're able to traffick illicit cargo. In order to upgrade to a CEO, you must own an office, which costs millions. The content of this update altogether costs $20mill.

To get the most bang for your buck when trafficking cargo, you must buy to earn, much like using the Stock Market in Story Mode. It's recommended you have a least a million$ before buying, if you wish to fill a warehouse. The more cargo you acquire, the value increases; therefore, when you fill an entire large warehouse you can sell all of it for $2.2mill, netting a $1.6mill profit.

Unfortunately, you cannot share these earnings with your Associates. However, when you successfully complete cargo missions their wages increase, to a max of $10k. If you want your Associates to earn money alongside the CEO, read the previous "VIP Work - Maximizing Your Payouts" guide. Same instructions apply.

Watch out for a call from your Assistant about a "hot opportunity". You'll be able to buy a "Special Item". Be on the lookout for that the next time you check your office computer. Selling this is considered separate from the rest of your cargo.

You can own up to 5 warehouses, which can let you bypass the cooldown timer for buying cargo. It's safer to fill and sell one warehouse at a time to ensure NPCs don't raid. The chance of this happening increases with the number of crates you've stored in a warehouse.

Do not keep calling in a luxury helicopter to instantly teleport between your office and warehouse(s). Calling in your CEO Buzzard is cheaper.

What was the trick of finding the right vehicle with the goods, on the ceo mission where u need to find the the right one of all 4?

Interaction menu, quick GPS to special cargo. Always points to the one with the goods in.

If you have to much heat on you and u know your about to die,

Select commit suicide.

That way instead of losing $2000 on medical bills, committing suicide is only $500.

Good tip! :)

No I never do suicide. just bug out of session or take job to your fav get away location / u get paid for it!

My take is people who do suicide don't really inderstand how to move around the game or developed a strategy to exploit certain things available.

If in no win situation I take job off playlist or bug out to GTA5. I am not going to be a victim for cops or somebody's KDR stat.

Hey Guys, I started a new character yesterday, starting the level up process, but shooting stats seems to take ages. Stealth done, stamina done, strength done. Bit shooting seems to take for ever. Two methods I've tried to speed things up a little.

  1. Wall breach - head shot cops constantly and shoot down helicopters - very slow progress
  2. Gun range - minigun challenge. Seems slightly faster than first method but still going to take a very long grind.

Is there a quicker way or is this it? I've heard survivals might be a good option?

The recoil with certain guns is terrible! Low armor and health I can deal with, but aiming is awful at 1 bar! It's the one stat I need leveled up ASAP.

thanks in advance for any tips

EDIT: Ok, so maybe the minigun at the gun range isn't such a slow way of maxing out your shooting stats after all, definitely the fastest method I could find by a long shot :-)

Money making tips.

Bikers Business. So, you got the mission where you need to sell 4 bikes?

It's possible to deliver all 4 bikes solo by packing them into a Mule

If you want to farm modded Sandkings, DO NOT follow the general recommendation to drive them to your garage. Instead, drive to the LSC right next to the spawn point and buy a tracker. The vehicle will be automatically delivered to your garage. This way you can potentially farm 2 Sandkings per minute and fill your garages very fast.

Also, the path you take to spawn a Sandking doesnt matter much. It's more important to control the camera, so you won't look at the spawn point until the end

It's possible to do the Asset Recovery in Paleto Bay without cops

Hostile takeover can be done in 2 minutes using Hydra. The most important part is the initial dive maneuver.

It's possible to complete the Headhunter VIP job in less than 3 minutes. My best result was 1 minute.

But you have to use a jet

A hidden online stat that doesn't show yourself until you level is max health.

Unsure of the levels specifically but every so often you will gain bonuses to max health.

Every 20 levels you'll gain a level of max health. For example, lvl 20 is 10/100, then lvl 40, 60, 80, 100, and finally 120 with 100/100. Your welcome :) Edited by PwnageSoldier

Use the creator glitch, go to DM creator, create a DM or TDM, set to unlimited kills and 60 minutes time, then test it. Just do whatever you need levelled up. So you want shooting up? Enable invincibility and go kill people, it's a fun way to level your stats, and you usually don't need to time it, because a hour of this will usually make it go to 100. Also, the great part is you don't notice it!

Something I've been doing to collect bounty is to throw 5 sticky bombs around the front of a random stolen car. Get in and drive right up to the person and blast away.

You commit suicide sure but you come back with more money in your pocket.

sure about that?

and who pays for the sticky bombs then?

you would get more money if you just shot him.
